Kingsley Portis-Like in Hoops Opener

Visiting head coach Roman Banks offered the best description of Moses Kingsley's performance as Arkansas beat Southern University 86-68 in the Hogs' season opener.

"He was overshadowed by a couple of pros last year but you could see that he has a lot of ability now that he's the man," Banks told reporters shortly after the game had ended.

Kingsley was a perfect eight of eight from the floor for a total of 22 points with 12 rebounds and five blocked shots. In addition to several put-back dunks the junior from Abuja, Nigeria saw a couple of his swats converted to points on the other end. He also forced a turnover and took the ball in for yet another slam. But when it was over Kingsley mostly attributed his big night to the Razorbacks around him.
