Otis Douglas first team in 1950 was arguably the worst of all time at 2-8 with only a single win over a power 5 team (Baylor) and with losses to Tulsa and Vandy.  His 1952 team also went 2-8 but had two power 5 wins.

Bielema is the coach of the worst 2 teams since the Hogs have been in the SEC.  John L's team won 2 SEC games and Kines took over after Crowe was fired in his first game after losing to the Citadel, and actually won at #4 ranked Tennessee in Knoxville.

I heard him on the post game radio tonight say that the Hog offense was in great shape to win the game - until the 3 turnovers in the 3rd quarter effectively put the game out of reach. Had those turnovers not happened, the hogs had a great chance to win the game.

My dearly departed father used to retort to this type of spin in the same manner every time, "Yeah, well, if the dog hadn't stopped to take a s**t he would've caught the rabbit."

Yeah, well, Rick, they did happen, and both sides of the football melted away after they did.

From what has happened so far this season. I would say if this team was at a bar with all the other bad teams in Arkansas history, this team would say hold my beer and watch this. I have seen some bad teams but I have never seen one get progressively worse as the season went on like this one has.  Nothing absolutely nothing has gotten better.

No argument on Douglas. And even though it was before our time, I like the stories about Fred Thomsen (1932) as coach. A Mike Leach / Hal Mumme offense in the 1930s must have been a lot of fun to watch.

This easily the worst team I've seen at Arkansas, but I only go back to 1963.  I wonder if its the worst of all time.

To properly answer that question we still have to see how the entire season plays out. That being said, it certainly isn't looking good as we speak.
