D. Wayne Lukas is already having his best year since 2004 with stable earnings of $2,803,485.  That is his stable's highest earnings since 2004 when they earned $4,585,321.  In theory he has accomplished this with a record of 130: 16-14-16.  However, I began thinking about it, and that's a bit deceiving when you look at this:

Oxbow 7:2-2-0, $1,086,000
Will Take Charge 6:2-0-0, $451,200
Optimizer 7:2-2-1, $435,095
Laurie's Rocket 8:3-0-4, $227,985
Skyring 4:1-1-0, $213,000

Those 5 horses compile a 32:10-5-5 mark with $2,413,280 in earnings. Meaning the rest of the stable has compiled a 98:6-9-11 mark with $390,205 in earnings..... Not bad for 5 horses.

Yea, he burned me a few times at Oaklawn this year in big races.  Just glad I got on Oxbow in the Preakness.
