I am officially engaged. Proposed last night and I'm at work today and cant think about anything else... Just needed to brag a bit :P

If nothing else at least I've converted her into a razorback!

Exciting news, best of luck to you both.  The early days are a lot of fun but there will be challenges.  Try to work together more than work against and you will be just fine.  I'm at 14 years and counting.

Pretty much exactly what my folks said. My parents will hit 30 years in May 2018 and got married 3 months after their first date lol.

Mrs. Longtime and I have 44 years....we highly recommend it!  Congratulations!
I don't like to plan my day because then the word premeditated comes into the conversation.

Congratulations! My wife and I hit 30 years in June of this year and I'd do it all over again as long as I could do it with her.

A word of advice: Never go to bed at night angry at each other. A married couple who truly love each other can work through any problem they might have without ever losing the love they have for each other.

Marriage is the greatest and having kids makes it even better.  Did she/he accept?  (You left that part out) Congratulations!

Congrats.. ive been married 10years and with "with"  my wife for 17....
Lil bits of advice I can give... Never stop dating your wife, meaning, make her feel special take her out to dinner.. hold the door, she gets the umbrella.. etc..

Like others have said try your hardest not to go to bed mad..
Also realize she is NOT PERFECT, YOU ARE NOT PERFECT... odds are one of you will mess up some how some way
   and it will take love, and work to fix things....

Also life can throw alot of curve balls your way... work, kids, tragedy.. lean on each other and be there for one another.. there may be times when you both are hurting ... know its okay to let your guard down with your wife,,, cry.. be vulnerable..

And lastly... never stop touching her.. (not in a crude way)  make sure you give her either a great kiss/ hug / or stare in her eyes and tell her you Love her everyday...

Thats all I got ... no i dont do all of this stuff perfectly.. but I try.. .

CONGRATS!!!!!!! It will be 6 years for me and my wife come Sunday, hopefully the HOGS give us an early gift Saturday. But never forget if she ask you where she falls tell her, she's first and the HOGS second (trust me that's the easy way to avoid a fight).

Don't let your life together fall into a Rut (routine). You'll both wake up one days and ask (Is this all there is).

Embrace her interest with enthusiasm, even if you're not interested, and she'll embrace yours.

Remember to do the "small" things, they are "huge". Flowers for no specific reason, little something(s) that lets her know you're thinking of here when you're not with her.

Congrats. It's been 42 great years for Mrs. Sowmonella and I.
