Bowen Loftin wants nationally prominent rival in the SEC on Thanksgiving

Hairopoulos: as work on the long-term SEC schedule, set to begin in 2014, continues, playing a Thanksgiving game again is possible.

"It'd be nice to have one against a nationally prominent rival in the SEC," Loftin said. "There are many to choose from."

Previous speculation has centered on A&M playing LSU to finish the season.

Loftin said there were many years the Texas-A&M rivalry was not played on Thanksgiving

A&M is scheduled to play at Missouri on the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2013.

That doesn't mean some A&M players wouldn't like to face UT in a bowl.

"There's no better way to go out than facing Texas," senior receiver Ryan Swope said.

Not only did Texas lose...they will lose Thanksgiving supremacy. SEC expected to make Texas A&M-LSU a Thanksgiving tradition in 2014.
