I'm always quick to point out that I was never in country and certainly never in harms way.  The only time I picked up a weapon was to qualify on the range.  The real 'Thank-You's'   should go to those that flew the missions and waded the rice paddies.
I don't like to plan my day because then the word premeditated comes into the conversation.

CPO we may have crossed paths back in the day. I was with the 188th fighter wing in FtSmith ANG from 81 to 87.
Almost reupped for another 6 and as a member of the CE that would have put me smack dab in the middle of the first Iragi war.

We staged all of my parachute jumps our of Hunter when I was at Ft. Stewart.  Loved the Savannah area and really appreciated the professionalism of those stationed at Hunter.
