Threat said the Auburn coaches have talked to him about playing either "Mike" or "Will" linebacker and possibly playing with his hand in the dirt and rushing the passer on third-and-long situations.

Alabama's search for offensive tackles has it going all over the country.

The Crimson Tide got a commitment from Jonah Williams, a four-star high school recruit in Folsom, Calif. One junior college target is from the northeast. Arlington, Texas standout Chris Owens has also committed, but he's likely a guard.

Alabama offered Charles Baldwin earlier this year, and he got a visit from Crimson Tide offensive line coach Mario Cristobal earlier this week.

Baldwin, a Windsor, Conn., product, had to go the junior college route out of high school because of grades, but he's scheduled to graduate from ASA College in Brooklyn, N.Y., and enroll at his school of choice in January.

Alabama is one of those, along with Ole Miss, Georgia and Oklahoma, he said.

"It was a good visit," Baldwin said. "I like Alabama and Coach Cristobal and I have a good relationship, so I was real comfortable. I think he's a good coach. He's talked about wanting to watch a practice."

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Baldwin doesn't have a rating yet on the 247Sports composite, but also has offers from Arizona State, Kentucky, Miami, Connecticut and  Virginia Tech...

Craig Watts, a 6-foot, 180-pound safety from Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Fla., will commit on July 14. The date significance? It's his mom's birthday.

Watts is a four-star recruit in the 247Sports composite. He's ranked as the No. 280 prospect nationally, No. 15 safety and No. 41 prospect in Florida.

Florida State seems to be a favorite to land Watts, but don't count on Alabama. He visited Tuscaloosa for Alabama's A-Day game, and Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin recently visited his school...

Justin Watkins, a 6-foot, 160-pound athlete and one of Florida's top recruits, committed to LSU on Thursday for the class of 2018

Watkins reportedly committed to LSU over Georgia, Florida, Miami, Louisville, Oregon State and UCLA.

Watkins is LSU's second committment for the class of 2018. Zadock Dinkelmann, a Texas quarterback and the nephew of Ty Detmer, also committed to the Tigers over the summer.

The nephew of former Mississippi State linebacker Johnie Cooks, Lashley has been praised for his ability in run oriented offenses. While still learning the ins and outs of pass blocking schemes, the offensive tackle's raw size puts him among the top in his position in the country, ranking as the nation's No. 10 offensive tackle according to 247Sports.

Lashley visited Mississippi State multiple times throughout the month of April. He told The Clarion-Ledger that he planned a busy summer with "as many camps as I can go to," including stops in Starkville, Oxford and Tuscaloosa.

Bobby Petrino is starting to fill up his quarterback depth with some good quality. The Cardinals added a verbal commitment from four-star quarterback recruit Tylin Oden on Monday.

Oden, a dual-threat quarterback from Tennessee, is the seventh-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country and the sixth-bets (sic) recruit from the state of Tennessee according to Rivals. The 6-foot-5, 175-pound recruit is Louisville's 10th in the Class of 2016, and second four-star quarterback recruited by Petrino since his return to the program. Louisville's Class of 2015 added Lamar Jackson from Florida.

Oden chose Louisville over offers from Mississippi State and West Virginia.

Alabama's football camp has yielded its second 2017 prospect of the day, as AL.com has confirmed offensive tackle Netori Johnson has committed to Alabama.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder from Ellenwood, Ga., pulled the trigger immediately after receiving his offer from Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

Johnson, ranked as the nation's No. 5 player at his position by the 247Sports Composite, also holds offers from Auburn, Illinois, Kentucky, N.C. State, South Florida and Wake Forest.

The Crimson Tide also picked up an offer (sic) from wide receiver D.D. Bowie on Monday. Alabama now holds three commitments in the class of 2017 with running back Najee Harris.

Bowie, 4-star from Morton, Miss., also holds offers from Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

The 247Sports Composite ranks Bowie as the nation's No. 10 wide receiver in the 2017 class and the No. 1 prospect in Mississippi.

LSU lands a huge commitment from Destrehan DT Glen Logan.

The next few days following a recruiting weekend are always worth paying attention to because the chance for a commitment is considerable, as was the case on Wednesday when Destrehan defensive tackle Glen Logan announced on Twitter that he committed to LSU.

The 6-4, 300-pounder is the No. 7 rated prospect in the Times Picayune | NOLA.com Nifty 50 and holds offers from many of the nation's premier programs. Logan has been quiet during much of his recruitment, but it was apparent that he was one of the Tigers top targets in the class.

LSU now has two premier defensive tackles committed, St. Thomas Aquinas 5-star defensive tackle Ed Alexander being the other. The Tigers still have desires to add other in-state prospects Rashard Lawrence and Stephon Taylor, from Neville and McDonogh 35 respectively.

Logan is the 11th commitment for LSU in the class of 2016.

Alabama now has a quarterback commitment for the class of 2016.

Jalen Hurts, a four-star recruit from Channelview, Texas., announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Friday. He is currently competing at the Elite 11 semifinals in Los Angeles.

"At Alabama, I loved Coach (Nick) Saban's plans for his players," Hurts said in a statement released by Elite 11. "Not only do they have a great competitive football program, but academically they also do a great job.

Caleb Roddy didn't need long Monday to mull over his newly received LSU scholarship offer.

The Denham Springs defensive end jumped at the Tigers' offer, his 32nd, with an immediate commitment at the program's camp.

"I'd been thinking about it for months," Roddy said. "When I tweeted that Arkansas was not my leader anymore, that was when I found out that I wanted to go to LSU. I just kept that quiet, though, but it was a really easy decision, because it was the best for me, my family and everybody. It's the best school in the country."

NRG Stadium likely will be stuffed with Aggies on Sept. 5, but Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin on Wednesday vowed he'll do his part to ensure that's so.

"If I go out and tell all of our Aggies the roof is going to be closed and it's going to be 68-70 degrees, I can probably fill the place up," Sumlin told a gathering of the Touchdown Club of Houston. "Let's get that done."

"NRG is a stadium that's held a Super Bowl, meaning it's a world-class facility," he said. "Then we're going to play in Kyle Field, which will be the best facility in college football."

Sumlin said in addition to A&M's playing Arkansas annually in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, home of the Cowboys, "Our guys are getting the best venues to play football in, along with playing in the SEC West. It doesn't get any bigger than that, and that's had a big impact on our recruiting."

On Wednesday, Karr 2016 defensive end Andre Anthony announced his top six college choices. Alabama and LSU were No. 1 and 2, respectively.

One day later and Anthony decided LSU was the place for him.

LSU extended the offer to the defensive end toward the end of May.

Anthony is ranked as a four-star prospect by ESPN and is considered the No. 276 player overall. Rivals and 247Sports both have Anthony ranked as a three-star prospect.
