Does last nights heroic win after leaving so many on base tell us that we are finding a way to win, or we got lucky that Bama' couldn't score in the last 3 innings?

It was a great game, but we left way too many on base!  Any team that get's 17 walks in a game should have scored a dozen runs!  That tells us something about our hitting.

Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will spend all of his money on fishing tackle.....!

We walked 16 times, and K'd 13 times.  We struck out way too much, and no we didn't get as much run productivity as we would have liked, given the BB's we received, but the important stat is 4-3, the final score.

Consider this as well, our pitching staff struck out Tide batters 10 times.

It is interesting that one Bama batter, Avila, their DH struck out 5 times himself!  Also interesting is that Dugger walked for a record-tying 5 times himself, and some say should have set the record with 6, but was denied by the Ump's called strike.

One BIG improvement last night for the Hogs was the fielding.  Only one error.  Also kudos to the pitching staff.  Great job.

One may say we were "lucky", but sometimes you create your own luck.  Last night the Hogs hung in there, battled, came from behind and found a way to win; and they did it against the #6 ranked team in the country, and SEC leader.
