Welcome, Coach Enos!

I gotta ask.....how does CBB find these guys? First Coach Smith, now Enos. These are not household names right now, but Smith has certainly garnered some positive attention with the defense we fielded. Looking forward to seeing what our new OC has in store for us in the fall.
It really is this simple. Unchecked government power leads to corruption, and lack of accountability for it is drastically eroding confidence in our institutions.    aristotle

Not excited.  But, then, i haven't been since Petrino was fired. Oh, well...next.

Literally destroying Texas, Ole Miss, and LSU does nothing for me either.  We are doomed to suck.

Look at it this way ---- Enos does have a Montana connection in his background.

I like how Petrino choked away a couple of games at Louisville this year, how about you?

We will all hate him in about 8 months.

lol. In reference to Chaney, one (of many) of the problems that I had with Chaney was the incremental progress that the offense made throughout the season. We had the same nagging problems throughout and collapsed in the second half. There was a disconnect somewhere. Chaney himself commented on his lack of creativity, so I know some of it has to do with him. The problem was persistent and he (rightfully so) had criticism placed at his feet.

I really like this hire and I think BB and Enos will mesh better than Chaney and BB.

a QnA from when he made the move to CMU

"MS: FreznoChip asks which coach has been your biggest influence from an X's and O's standpoint?

DE: There has been so many. Morris Watts was my quarterback coach and he is now a coordinator at Miami of Ohio.

There is Shawn Watson, Offensive Coordinator at Nebraska, he has been very influential on me.

Pat Shurmur, Offensive Coordinator of the St. Louis Rams, he has been very influential as well.

Greg Olson, who has been a coordinator with the Bills and was at Purdue with Drew Brees.

I would say those guys are guys that I have met with on multiple occasions and formed a lot of ideas, and I have to be honest with you too, Dave Baldwin, a guy who was at Michigan State with Drew Stanton for those year, I was with him in 2006 when we were all spread and several of the concepts we do now are things I learned from him.

I would say all those guys are my influences. They all have different backgrounds and different styles but you can learn from anybody.

Those guys have really taken time with me and taught me a lot of different way to do things and that is why when people ask "what is your offense going to look like," some of those guys are west coast guys and some guys are spread guys and some guys like to run. We take all of those concepts, and a lot of them are passing concepts, and mix them all into one."

I can't wait for football season to get here. We've got a chance to be really, really good this year. Should be fun.

Bret Bielema needs to call David Cutcliffe right away and schedule a game so Enos can finally get them Duke boys.

Wonder if they can get Shooter Jennings to call the game?  Oh, and a thousand +1's...

Nah, first you see a lot more positive than negative about this hire.  I wasn't thrilled with Robb Smith but after my initial venting I took a wait and see approach.  I was sold on him before the first game.  I went to the open scrimmage in the fall, saw him interacting with the players on the field and I was like yeah he's got it.  Enos reminds me a lot of Smith and Coach B just in the energy demeanor youth and outlook.  I think these guys are going to work very well together.

Looking at wins and losses for a coordinator or assistant is just stupid.  There is an entire side of the ball that they have zero control over.  Historic Wins and Losses is only relevant when hiring a HC.

I just hope he incorporates that slant route to Hunter Henry on the goal line like New England uses with Gronk. Such an effective play bc no one can cover that tall and that quickly. Defender will always be on the outside.

Yes..!! Yes..!! That would be awesome man..!
