Never cared for him and usually turned off sports center when he was on, but it's always sad when someone passes away. Especially of cancer.

We have lost a great sports guy.  He was the first guy to really add a true personality.   legitimately sad by his passing.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Seemed to be one of the good guys.

I am a 45 year old white man from the south with absolutely nothing in common with him. Having said that may he rest in peace and God bless that good and courageous man.

We all have something in common,  we will all face death one day. He knew that & he lived to make the most of his life.
People ask me what I do in winter when there is no baseball.  I will tell you what I do. I stare out the window, and I wait for spring.

Many ESPN people over the years have become a sort of 'constant voice' you want to hear, sometimes just in the background when you have Sportscenter on. Scott had his own flair, which was nice...I can't remember how long it had been since he was on the air.

Earlier today, the piece ESPN did on him was very strong. A sad day.

I had crocodile tears when watching Rich Eisen's tribute. It's tough to watch a man cry about anything, but to see Rich just 10 minutes after finding out about his friend was just so sad.

RIP, Stu. Big ups.

Makes me angry when one who does not deserve to die or who shouldn't die, dies.
I ain't saying you babysitting, but my kids are all over your couch.

Crocodile tears means fake or insincere tears. Not trying to dismiss what you said.

It's true.  Cosmo's a bastard man.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

After watching extensively the coverage this morning  it made me think of Wayan Tisdale and Jimmy V. I've listened to that Toby Keith song watched Jimmy V's and SS's speaches multiple times today. I know death and disease is no respecter of persons,  but it sure does seem way too often that the good die young. I'm NOT a strong person my spirit is weak more than I like to admit. It is in these moments of reflection that these brave never yielding spirits give me strength and determination to be stronger to be better than I Really am. Their death's were not in vain. God Bless.

Very sad news. He was one of the good guys at ESPN. I'll be flipping my pillow to the cool side in bed tonight.
Wait a minute this isn't chinese checkers.. This isn't even regular checkers!

I am Proud of the Props ESPN is giving Stu.

He was one of the great ones.  He never challenged athletes with his interviewing style, and I think they appreciated that.  He had a genuine smile, and I always felt upbeat when he was on a broadcast.  He was taken too early.  RIP  Boo Yeah
I've never wanted a Hog coach to be successful more than I do for Pittman.  He's one of the good guys.

Cresthog

I'm 26 and he played a HUGE role in turning me onto sports early in life.

He, Rich and Kenny were my guys for sure.

CabotHog87

RIP Stu. He was my favorite for sure. I'm 27 and I remember as a kid getting up early on the weekend before anyone else in the house and fixing a giant bowl of cereal and watching him on SportsCenter.. One of the best ever.

SamBuckhart

He had a style all his own and will be missed. RIP

Prayers go out to his family. Cancer takes so many. It touches a lot of people, some survive, some don't. By God's grace and UAMS I was one of the survivors, my Father wasn't.RIP.

That crap takes too many of the good ones, and not enough bad ones.
