In the posts you shared Auburn had 3 and had to dismiss 1 during the season. Maryland had 3 but 1 left the program when he retired. They started with 3 plus 2 walk on qb's. They didn't intentionally go with 2 .

a quick look shows both Tennessee and Maryland are carrying 5 QB's on their roster. Bama used 3 in one game . You can lose 2 in 1 game. then you would be totally screwed .

I hope he's right, but it's hard to be optimistic that the offense will improve significantly after what we've seen through the first 42 games.  No one doubts we have the pitching to win it all, but just a little more offensive efficiency would be nice.
