Recruiting and success at SMU has been mediocre at best.

Mike Norvell has been a reported candidate all along and has destroyed SMU on a regular basis. Unless something is seriously wrong with Norvell, there's no reason to pick Morris over him.

You need butts in seats. Morris isn't going to initially bring that.

To go from Bielema to Morris is underwhelming to say the least. Especially when you're paying millions to do it.
