Missouri has been fined $25,000 for allowing fans to rush the field at Faurot Field after the Tigers SEC East-clinching 21-14 victory over Arkansas.

It was Missouri's second offense of the league's field access policy since joining the conference in 2012, as the school was also fined in 2013 after fans rushed the field following a win over Texas A&M.

QuoteAccording to the policy, "access to competition areas shall be limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, support personnel and properly-credentialed individuals at all times.  For the safety of participants and spectators alike, at no time before, during or after a contest shall spectators be permitted to enter the competition area.  It is the responsibility of each member institution to implement procedures to ensure compliance with this policy."

Penalties range from $5,000 for a first offense to up to $25,000 for a second offense within three years and $50,000 for a third offense.
