NWA Kayak Fishing

Hi guys,  long time reader- first time poster.

I'm new to fishing in NWA and was hoping to find some advice.  I have a new fishing kayak, and was wondering if anyone had any general advice for fishing NWA? Lakes? Bait recommendations? I'm new to NWA and to fishing out of a kayak. So far I've only checked out Lake Wedington, Lake Bob Kidd, and Lake Elmdale.

Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated!

I know you said lakes, but with a kayak I'm thinking rivers.  Buffalo, Frog Bayou, War Eagle, Kings, Illinois, Mulberry, and Crooked Creek within an hour.  Just have to deal with shuttle logistics, but not a better way to see NWA.

I appreciate that.  I'm not against rivers at all, just grew up in a bass boat on lakes in south Arkansas and north Louisiana.  Will take a little adjustment.

I've ran into these guys a few times.  Most are really helpful with tips and what not, when not on the water.  If you're pretty good, sign up for the tourneys.  There are some pretty good pay outs too.

Thanks Swanson! I'm headed out this weekend to a river and a lake in NWA. Hopefully I have some luck.
