No, the comment was the staff didn't feel confident in the FAU DT, as in wanting him.

Quote from: onebadrubi on Today at 08:00:47 amThis is the point many are talking about, however there is a minority crowd around this place that thinks people discussing this want to fire DVH and sacrifice others first borns.  The level of defense of discussing what has hurt us going on seemingly 5-6 years is very real.  They can use stats here and there, but the reality of it is our bats tend to go quiet against good teams late in the season and this team has not shown anything different to spell those fears.

Leaving runners on base is the elephant in the room. Whether we want to discuss it or not doesn't make it disappear.

Tygart and Molina's struggles as of late definitely shouldn't be overlooked heading back home to play State, a much improved team since the start of season.

The people we put on the field are not very fast or strong so making contact is especially important

I get it now, Devo signed on with General Insurance, they now cover flooring, he and Shaq, they can help you cover the Highs and the Lows in your flooring repairs. Just TURN it OVER to them its a Slam Dunk. The Floor Generals

Quote from: jst01 on Today at 07:37:16 amWith all due respect. This is just a recap of the wins and losses. Many people here understand we have won way more than we have lost. People are concerned about how the big elephant in the room will act when we get to the pressure of elimination series. That big elephant is a rough offense and very streaky hitters that can disappear. Our lack of hitting and inability to score is what people are worried about. Not just the fact that we lost two games there.

Monday Morning Quarterback / Re: Who did Drink bribe?

Quote from: bennyl08 on Today at 12:00:27 amSo you contend that Missouri doesn't play harder against the hogs? Cool, let's put that theory to the test. Let's look at the hogs and missouri vs common opponents and then how they played against each other.

2014: +35 (-7)
2015: +32 (+25)
2016: +54 (-4)
2017: -3 (-3)
2018: -4 (-38)
2019: -5 (-10)
2020: +56 (-2)
2021: +31 (+17)
2022: +18 (-2)
2023: +8 (-34)

Bolded are the years where the final score between Arkansas and the tigers was vaguely on par with how the two teams fared against common opponents. 40% of the seasons, that was a solid predictor. 60% of the time, it was decidedly not. Note that in all of these seasons, the number of common opponents was always at least two and in most seasons, exactly two.

Notice the lack of games where the hogs played significantly in the mizzou game vs how they did against common opponents.

You might also notice the alternating years. That was largely games played at Mizzou.

Since 2014, Mizzou is 8-2 vs Arkansas.  In these 8 wins, the ONLY upset I see was 2016 which Arkansas was the much better team but Mizzou won.  In 2022, the two teams were pretty even.  In the other 6 wins, Mizzou was the better team.  In the 2 losses, Arkansas was clearly the better team.

Bottom line, in the 10 games, only 1 game was an upset, 1 game a toss up, the other 8 the better team won.
