Daytona, tonight 3/8 at 6:30pm CST. It's always a great race and not typical of the other supercross tracks as you riders know.

Helmet. SX is divided into two classes the 250cc and 450cc. Most riders goals are to work their way from the 250cc to the more powerful 450cc.
The RACES:
Supercross Races:
 Free Practices
 Timed Qualifying Practices
 Two Heat Races
 Two Semi Races
 One Last Chance Qualifier
 One Final (Main event)
A. In the Heat Races, 1st through 4th will advance to the Main event; 5th through 20th will advance to a Semi.
B. In the Semi, 1st through 5th will advance to the Main Event. 6th through 16th will advance to the Last Chance Qualifier.
C. In the Last Chance Qualifier, 1st through 4th will advance to the main. The 450SX class Main Event will be 20 laps.
Where you finish in the Heat races etc determines what order you get a chance to pick you gate(starting spot) for the main.

How to become a SX Rider.
****Requirements for a 2015 AMA 450SX license****
a. All license applicants must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.
b. Prior to being accepted for entry for any AMA Supercross meet, each rider must provide documentation that they have completed an ImPACT
Concussion Management Test, which shall be used by the Chief Medical Officer, to assist in determining when a rider will be allowed to return to
competition after suffering a concussion.
c. In addition to the age requirements and ImPACT test, riders must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for an AMA 450SX class license.
1. Qualified into the evening program in the 450SX class at least one time during the 2011 thru 2013 AMA Supercross season.
2. Qualified into the evening program in the 250SX class at least one time during the 2012 thru 2014 AMA Supercross season.
3. Riders who earned a 2013 AMA Supercross license may apply for their 2014 license based on the criteria for which it was earned in 2013.
4. Hold a current FIM Motocross World Championship license.
d. The AMA may issue a license to any rider who does not meet the above criteria if it determines, in its sole discretion, the rider has adequate
competition experience.
****Requirements for a 2015 and beyond AMA 250SX license****
a. All license applicants must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.
b. Prior to being accepted for entry for any AMA Supercross meet, each rider must provide documentation that they have completed an ImPACT

c. Earn 1 "Road to Supercross" point from the Arenacross class at a minimum of three separate Arenacross events from the 2013/14/15 season (for a

d. The AMA may issue a license to any rider who does not meet the above criteria if it determines, in its sole discretion, the rider has adequate competition exposure.

Points for the main events are as follows:
1-25pts
2-22
3-20
4-18
5-16
6-15
7-14
8-13
9-12
Etc.. down to 20th-22nd position whom receives 1pt.
The current points leader has the Red number plate. The current champion has the #1 number.
Hope this helps Helmet and others. There's rules on the bikes just like Nascar. There's also PED testing.
Flags: Blue/Yellow Move over, you're being lapped. Yellow
flag: Rider down the race continues, but you're not supposed to pass or do jumps through that section. Red Flag: Injury and cannot move the rider off the track, or something crazy happened at the start like a gate malfunction.

Toronto last night was crazy. Course was absolutely brutal to everyone... except Stewart. He floated across the course like a god while all the others looked like mortals. Had a horrible start in the Main, was up to sixth about a third of the way in, then you knew it was just a matter of time. Charged to the front and didn't look back.
