4-star IOL Marcus Garcia names top six schools

Denton Ryan four-star interior offensive lineman Marcus Garcia has acquired 30 offers to this point. As he enters April, 6-foot-5, 270-pounder is ready to narrow his focus on six programs.

Garcia has trimmed his list down to Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State and A&M, he tells On3.

Denton (Texas) Ryan four-star interior offensive lineman Marcus Garcia is moving swiftly towards his commitment.

He named Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State and Texas A&M as his top six schools earlier this week. On Sunday, he announced that he's set to commit on April 14. With his decision one week away, it's the in-state Aggies trending for his pledge.

HuskerOnline's Bryan Munson became the fourth recruiting insider to log a pick in the favor of A&M landing Garcia on Sunday. Last weekend, Steve Wiltfong, Chad Simmons and Sooner Scoop's Josh McCuisition each did the same

Ryan four-star interior offensive lineman Marcus Garcia named his top six schools. The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder with over 30 offers named Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State and Texas A&M as his finalists.

After thinking things over for a few days, the No. 171 overall recruit and No. 10 IOL in the 2025 On300 has set the date to announce his commitment.

"I will be committing on April 14," Garcia told On3. "April 14 isn't a special day or anything, it's just one where everyone should be home and relaxing."

Denton (Texas) Ryan four-star interior offensive lineman Marcus Garcia took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M on the weekend of Jan. 27. He realized that College Station "could be the spot" for his college football career on that trip after spending time with players, as well as coaches from both the football and track-and-field programs.

Garcia decided to wait a few months to give other schools a chance at his pledge, but continued to like the Aggies the most. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound recruit followed up on that feeling by committing to head coach Mike Elko and his staff on Sunday over Arkansas
