With the losses today by Ole Miss and Mississippi State, we're in a 5 way tie for 3rd place in the SEC West in the loss column (everyone with one loss)!!!  I say we call the game with Tenner both an actual AND a moral victory and call it a day!!!  Now all we have to do is beat 'Bama in Tuscaloosa next Saturday and we're onto something ;D  This a crazy year with #'s 3, 6, 7 and 8 losing this week (and #'s 1, 2 and 9 not looking too great against inferior competition) so who knows: we might end up in a better bowl than we envisioned after losing to a MAC team!  We all know we could/should be 5-0 right now (well, Hog fans are always saying things like this) so let's just go along for the ride and pull for the Hogs regardless of what happens over the next few weeks.  Just remember that our men's track & field/cross country teams have won over 40 national championships!!!

lose next week and it's over,  but if we could pull out a win, it'd be interesting, with a bye week and a chance to get players back for the stretch run.

next week will be really tough though.

Prepare yourself for the onslaught of Debbie-downers coming to post things like:

- Track and field doesn't matter when you're in the SEC, football is all that matters!

- We should've lost tonight anyway, we're just lucky we played a team that chokes worse than us!

- We should NEVER lose to a MAC team!  Not even if all of the players were suspended or on strike and we fielded a team of replacement players from the intramural fields!  That intramural field is in SEC territory dammit!

- CBB's playcalling (completely ignoring the fact that CBB does not make the calls) nearly cost us the game with that fake field goal crap!  He's lucky the team we were playing........"

- BA still overthrew HH in the endzone in the 4th quarter!  He'll never get it done! We should put in a redshirt freshman QB that's never taken a snap in a college football game instead!

Or if deltaboy decides to grace us all with his presence:

- Jeff LONG still nearly ALLMOST lost us this GAME!!!!!  Yankee CaRPETbaggER. He ONLY hear to ruin the SOUTH!!

If we manage to pull off a massive upset with Bama, the SEC west is going to be a wild ride.

It could still be a wild ride even with a loss next week, if we could win out from there.

I think we will battle toe to toe with Bama for a while next week, just the injuries and back to back road games after a physical contest last night may be too much to overcome.

Should we be able to ride the momentum of last night and pull off another SEC road win next week, then things will look very good for us, having a bye week to get healthy and prepare for Auburn, we could have a lot of key players back for the stretch run, I'd love to see the LSU game late in the year have major implications.
