In short, no.

'Mid-Majors' are supposed to beat major conference teams, when the Mid Major is a quality team.

See: Butler, Gonzaga, Missouri State, Creighton, etc.

The designation 'Mid-Major'  lost its stigma a long time ago.

well.....they are a mid major. they're a good one, but call a spade a spade. if we win, we're suppose to, if we lose, we lost to a mid major, good or not.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I wouldn't necessarily put Mizz St or Creighton in that "supposed to" category.  Actually you could consider the entire MVC with that capability in a given year.  A number of teams have had impressive showings in the tourney, but nothing sustained over several years from a single team.  I suppose you could put Xavier in that category, but the A-10 is slightly better than mid-major.

South Alabama beat UF tonight.

I wonder if they'll get a first round bye in the SEC tournament :)

I thought we were like 2-18 last year in the SEC.

UAB beat 16th Ranked Butler tonight.   UAB's best player is a Sunbelt transfer in Paul Milsap.   Just so there is proof that the best Sun Belt players can still play at other schools
Honor and Integrity no longer exist in the world of college football.  It is only filled with liar's cheater's, and traitors.

There is ALOT of parity in college bball more so than I have seen in a long time. There are many teams from many midmajor conferences that can beat many very good teams from major conferences.

He could ascend to heaven at halftime of the Texas game, up 50, and there would be no goodwill built up with some people.

I don't care if he ascends to heaven up 50  at halftime, only if we're up 50 at the end of the game.  Heaven be darned. ;)

Ok. I will offer the bet to you now.

$1,000 says it doesn't happen by 76 points or more.

One undefeated foe knocked off.  I wonder if some of our fans are even happy that we won.

Is it me or does pulling for the Hogs feel like pulling for the Longhorns to beat the Hogs?

I'm happier.  We showed signs of life last night.  Didn't play particularly well and found a way to win.  That's better than playing well and finding a way to lose.  I've often questioned why we have Glenn Bryant while Brandon Moore and Clark were showed the door.  Well, Bryant did more last night than Moore and Clark combined last year.  Loved his effort.

Winning 2 of the next three is a possibility
And so it is, my friend....
