If we were in the SEC East the past 5 years, how do you think we would have done

We know how tough the SEC West was. But if Arkansas was in the SEC East, would the past 5 years be a lot less stressful? Would we have had a legit shot at an SECCG appearance?

You miss the boat.  A four team playoff is a championship.  A championship produces... a champion. You seem to be looking for the "best" team.  The "best" doesn't exist. Best does not equal champion.  Best is a myth.
Opinion polls produce... opinions.

Probably just as bad.  We're awful against Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.  Not to mention, we have losing records against Kentucky and Missouri.  Hell, we may actually be worse.

What is our record against Florida, Georgia and Tennessee the last 6 years? 4 wins 1 loss.
Not trying to brag or make anyone jealous but I can still fit into the same pair of socks I wore in high school.

So the record would be the same.  Maybe 9 wins in the MAC.
SEC!

It depends on who we had to play from the West, but you could easily add 1 victory to 2 victories per season on average.

As somebody who has made money on the SEC the last ten years and is a hog lover???

Maybe worse off. Has our record been great against the east the last three years? And I say worse because the losses against Missouri , vandi, and Florida yearly would have been horrible for our relevancy.

Yeah but CBB teams are a different story agenda driver.

Well being in the west we are usually 6th in recruiting.  In the east we would probably be closer to 4th or 5th. So we might would improve about 1 or 2 games.

According to 24sports.com yearly rankings:

2017 (so far): we are 6th in the West and would be 5th in the East
2016: we were 6th in the West and would have been 4th in the East
2015: we were 7th in the West and would have been 5th in the East
2014: we were 6th in the West and would have been 6th in the East
2013: we were 6th in the West and would have been 4th in the East

Avg West rank: 6.2
Avg East rank: 4.8

So, yes, probably worth 1 to 2 conference wins per year being in the East instead of the West. I mean, you do get to play Kentucky and Vanderbilt every year if you are in the East...

Mediocre has a way  of emerging regardless of circumstances.

Like when Nutt complained about not getting to play Vanderbilt and Kentucky and then had a mediocre record against them when they did show up on the schedule.

6 years adds petrino's last year. We are 2-2 in 5 years vs them

The same, at some point you have to stop blaming being in the west when you lose to the likes of Toledo and Rutgers.

People need to remember, we could have won 9 this year just by half way taking care of business in the second halves of the last 2 games we played.  We have enough talent on this team to reach 9 win seasons, we just don't have enough coaching.

But to answer the thread.  We would have won 1, maybe 2 more per season but no SECCG.

We'd eff up the church wedding on the Eastern side of the SEC just like we ALWAYS do on the Western side of the SEC....doesn't matter when your team is ate up with the DA
