Michigan State transfer DL Simeon Barrow commits to Miami

Michigan State defensive lineman Simeon Barrow committed to Miami Thursday. He entered the transfer portal as a graduate student during the spring window after four years in East Lansing.

In addition to Miami, he also visited Missouri and LSU during the transfer process.

2025 DL Floyd Boucard sets commitment date

Boucard, originally from Montreal, Quebec, has multiple official visits scheduled for May and June. He will follow those up with his college decision.

He is set to visit Louisville on May 31, Miami on June 7, Oklahoma on June 14 and Oregon on June 21.

Boucard visited Miami multiple times this spring in addition to visits to Florida, Penn State, Oregon, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama and UCF.

"They keep calling me every day," Boucard told Canesport. "We stay close, very close. They keep sending me graphics. I've got a group chat with coach Mario Cristobal, coach (Joe) Salave'a, all of those people. Our connection is real tight."

Top-100 EDGE Justin Hill locks in commitment date

Cincinnati Winton Woods four-star EDGE Justin Hill said that he was eyeing a commitment on his birthday, July 3.

On Sunday, the touted defender confirmed those plans:



He will announce his college decision in less than two months and will choose between Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon and USC.

"I'm down to four main schools: Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama and USC, not in any order," Hill told Kyle Kelly last weekend at the Under Armour camp in Canton.

BYU transfer Danny Saili commits to Arkansas

Former BYU defensive lineman Danny Saili has committed to Arkansas, he announced Monday afternoon on Twitter.

Saili signed with BYU ahead of this spring, before entering the transfer portal last week.

He played last season at Hutchinson Community College

Former Miami DL Thomas Gore sets upcoming visits with Tulane, Georgia Tech

Former Miami defensive lineman Thomas Gore has upcoming transfer visits with Tulane and Georgia Tech, per On3's Pete Nakos.

Gore started his career at Georgia State before spending one season at Miami (2023). So far, he's garnered decent interest.

Once with the Hurricanes, Gore began to contribute...

As a member of the Class of 2019, Gore was a three-star recruit out of Brentwood.

2024 Defensive Line/Edge Unit Rankings: Ohio State, Michigan reign supreme in 2024

With spring practice in the books and the second transfer portal window closed, it's time to kickstart our summer series evaluating 2024 positional unit rankings.

Top 10 defensive line/edge unit in 2024:

3. Georgia
After several straight seasons with multiple 1st Round NFL Draft picks, the Bulldogs' defensive line took a step back in 2023 —

 The unit projects to be much more effective this fall, though, as Kirby Smart's defense will be spearheaded by a versatile front with experience, upside and depth. The Dawgs bring back super-seniors  Warren Brinson and Nazir Stackhouse on the interior, while Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins and Christen Miller, who flirted with transferring this spring, will be important rotational pieces.

Former 5-star Mykell Williams is a breakout candidate, as he's transitioning from 3-4 end to edge and is seen as a potential Top 5 pick.

6. Ole Miss
Pete Golding has an embarrassment of riches in the trenches this season, as Ole Miss' defensive line features a combination of returnees and star transfer additions.

Rebels return end Jared Ivy, tackle JJ Pegues and end/edge Suntarine Perkins — who combined for 25 tackles for loss last season — while bringing in Florida pass rusher Princely Umanmielen and Texas A&M tackle Walter Nolen —

9. Tennessee
Vols have our nation's best pass rusher in junior James Pearce, a potential Top 5 NFL Draft pick next April. Pearce had 10 sacks and a 19% pressure rate — which was No. 3 nationally among all rushers per PFF. They also return senior tackle Omari Thomas, senior end Bryson Eason, senior Elijah Simmons, senior Dominic Bailey and senior Omarr Norman-Lott, a former Arizona State transfer who flashed in a reserve role in 2023.

Texas State defender, former Texas DL Myron Warren re-enters NCAA transfer portal

Former Texas defensive lineman Myron Warren is back in the transfer portal, On3 has learned. Warren signed with the Longhorns in the class of 2019.

He played last season at Texas State, finishing with nine tackles.
