Penalties/Turn-overs/Mistakes

Utep- 5 for 68 yards

1. Holding- on a 2nd and 1-Still Scored 7
2. Facemask- on defense. On a 1st and 10 on the 20. Moved the ball to the 35. The kicked for 3.
3. Unnecessary Roughness- Was called after a punt, this was the drive that Alex had the big run at the end of the half. That penalty put us on the 10. His run was 70. That cost us points.
4. Facemask-1st and 25. We kicked for 3.
5. Holding-Went from 2nd 9 to 2nd 19. Then Punted.

Toledo-9-85 yards and 1 Turnover

1. Offside-It was 4th and 1. On this drive we blocked the FG.
2. Holding- It was a big pass play that was called. We still scored later in drive.
3. Holding-
4. Subs Infraction- 3 and 4 were on same drive that stalled out and we turned over on downs.
5. Holding-
6. Personal Foul- 5 and 6 we were on last minute drive in first half that ended up back at 50. Lost points here.
7. Holding-Big return for td on punt returned called back. Next possession BA throws the pick in the endzone. Their next poss. they scored 7.
8. Holding-
9. Holding- It was 2nd goal, pushed to the 14. We turned over on downs.

Texas Tech. 5-43 yards and 2 Turnovers.

1. Personal foul- On a 3rd and 2.
2. False start- 2nd and 3. We ended up scoring 7 on this still. Had a big 3rd down conversion
3. Illegal Block- On a 1st down run
4. False start-
5. Offensive Pass Interference- 4 and 5 not only on same drive. Didn't get the td or the fg. No points.


Some of these fouls were terrible calls. After looking at this, these calls change your play calling drastically in trying to make up the yardage. Then you add the turnovers. We are killing ourselves in penalties and mistakes.
