They get better as the season progresses that's for sure. Fun to watch.

I guess beating Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl is pretty exciting!

I just don't see how you can be passionate about a football program that hasn't done anything but beat down the basketball program.  In my opinion both programs are dealing with some turberlance right now.

Can you make it through a tough season? I think next season roster will answer that question!!!

In football they are going to have some challenges but how will Coach B respond with a weak secondary, depth at running back and linebacker, new offensive line and a new QB. This is what MA is challenged with this season.

Always the resort of those who have no valid argument to make to defend their position -- CHANGE THE SUBJECT!!

The "look over there" defense is one of your favorites.

My response when the football program is mentioned in conjunction with the basketball program.

I'll play.

I could easily go negative just based on our record, but I don't much care to. I watched today until about 10:00 to play in the second half. Didn't watch Mississippi State. Didn't watch LSU. Didn't watch Kentucky. Didn't even watch A&M (I forgot it was on). If we win, good. If we don't...well, right now I'm watching Louisville and Notre Dame, and a loss by the Irish would upset me about as much as our loss to Ole Miss did.

I just don't see the point. My money (and my passion) go to our football and baseball programs.
I have been on message boards with Wilson since way way back. We don't always see eye to eye, but to see him type these words speaks volumes. The sad part....if the Hogs don't start putting a better product on the floor....Friday starts baseball for theRazorbacks and I will have options and I know what to expect from baseball....I won't miss a game of baseball....the other sport....I can wait until next year

Yep. Apathy sitting in.

It isn't setting in....it is firmly entrenched and seems to be stuck except for a select few.

Yes, I know.  Weak.

It just doesn't interest me. Other than a handful of our games, I haven't watched an entire college basketball game all season. I won't until maybe Championship Week.

Baseball? If I lived in NW Arkansas, I wouldn't miss a game at Baum. That certainly wouldn't be true for basketball.

We will be overachieving again.

Given that this was the expected performance level, yes.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I am not happy with the loss but you can see the limitations on this team and so can other teams coaches. Plus, our shooters have gone cold and we get exposed.  I hate every loss but I don't see what it helps to type my frustrations into the matrix.

If only the head coach had some input into what players are on his team in year 5.

And how much better will we be next year when we lose Kingsley to the NBA?

Hope CMA has a plan in mind...because it is more than likely to happen.

Doubtful - "having a plan" is obviously not his strong suit.

HoopS

This is his roster for sure. Most of us knew that having such a large number of very talented players move on at the same time would be difficult to replace. We are not Kentucky. We have a long ways to go but we will be better next season with the influx of talent and the seasoning of several of the current players. Hopefully a good week ahead.

2015 offseason proves that.

Or the scholarship situation left behind at Mizzou in terms of the near immediate roster turnover.

I've seen it mentioned right here that a big issue with this roster is power forwards. Losing Bobby hurt but we had Jacorey coming back and we had Kapita signed. That was the plan. If Portis left we had not one but two options still. Then Jacroey got stupid and Kapita got screwed over.

not usually. But we all saw this happen.

The Kapita deal was not unlucky, it was a risky strategy Mike chose to pursue.

And the reason he did choose to put his eggs in Ted Kapita's basket is he struck out with pretty much everybody else he went after.  The reason TK was available to us and interested in us was because the "bigger programs" who would have been interested in him were (justifiably) scared away.

You take gambles on kids like TK, when it turns against you it's not their fault, it's not bad luck, it's a bad recruiting strategy.

And, yes, we did all see it happen.  In slow motion.  And there were a few on here who saw it happening BEFORE it actually happened.

Guys like you missed an opportunity to strike it rich in Vegas. Most everyone here projected a falloff though. I had us between 17-22 wins this season.

Tell us in advance how this season plays out and next.

Jacorey never showed any real development in his three seasons here, and he had been making bad choices off the court since the first day he moved on campus. If the 'plan' was for Jacorey to miraculously become a whole lot better in his final season, and gamble on Kapita somehow getting eligible, then it was a bad plan from the start.

cannot speak to his off the field decisions.

He was a source of frustration on the court. Good flashes offset by bad decisions. I don't know that there was a plan for elite play out of him, but at least he had experience and at times showed flashes. I personally hoped he'd come in with the intent to rebound like crazy.

I do make my own choices. I don't apologize for that. I see things as I see them. Not a sheep in the least.

I don't see things as you and some others do. That's ok. Isn't it?

But I do remember things when I ask specific questions and do listen. I don't think you'll find a much fairer person than I am. When I feel it's time to turn on Mike, it'll happen. I'm not there yet. Next season will tell that tale for me.

That may all be true.  I was just saying you're not going to give my point of view any credence at all, so why would I waste my time sharing it with you?
