Very cool park for those who haven't been here.

Also, this is why I'm not updating the Cardinals game tonight. Haha

I am a big Twins fan, but unfortunately haven't had a chance to go to the park yet. Having a solid season so far, though.

I took a tour of the park in the summer of 2010.  One of the best ballpark/stadium tours I've had.  I especially like the use of the limestone.

They're playing well enough to make it 3 teams from the AL Central.

Very nice stadium. Unfortunately it was empty due to being a week night and having the Wild in town against the Blackhawks for a playoff game.

So glad they got rid of the dome but it has to be pretty darn cold there in the spring and fall.

It's wonderful there, ChicoHog.  Truly wonderful.

As much as Arkansans talk about their great outdoors (and rightfully so I should add), Minnesota is an outdoor adventure around every corner in its own right.  Please do spend some time there if you ever get the opportunity.

MN is great for the outdoors, just not many months there to do so. As a cyclist, I love how bike-friendly the MSP area is.

My sister graduated from Mankato st in 1969.  I'm sure it's great in the summertime.  I'm a warm weather guy living in California after growing up in Pennsylvania and going to college in Arkansas.  I don't care if i ever see cold weather again. I  like playing golf all year around.

I'm with you on that one. I've been in KC for nearly two years now. I couldn't take a winter much worse than this.

Heck, Arkansas winters are too cold for me.

When I lived in Minnesota, there were a few November playable days.  If you bundled up...

What part of California do you live in ChicoHog?
Chico.  90 miles north of Sacramento.  Home of Aaron Rodgers.

April games in Target Field are an adventure.  Great stadium, though- much better than the Metrodome.

It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. Cold weather baseball is definitely a Home field advantage.

I thought that might be the case given your screen name, but one never knows for sure.

At any rate, many years ago, I drove from San Francisco to Reno via Sacramento.  One of the most memorable drives I've ever had given that I started in the shadow of the Golden Gate and within a few hours I stopped at the Donner Lake near Truckee.  The mountains of California are majestic.  I hope to get the chance to travel in that area again.

Looks like you could be high in the mountains within an hour or so as well.
yes we are a little over 2 hour drive from Truckee which is near the NV/CA state line.  We have a group of guys who take a golf trip there each summer for a few days.  Perfect weather there in the summer.  Chico gets pretty hot as it's in the valley.

Your First place Twins!

Wow. Can they make it a 3 team race in the AL Central (the toughest division in baseball)?

I dunno, but this is really nice to see, considering where Buxton and Sano are right now.

I am excited to see Buxton back. Sano has been great so far. Hopefully we can stay healthy and have a good second half of the season. The pitching has been a pleasant surprise this year, even without Santana.

Who knew there were Twins fans in Arkansas?  I only knew 1 other from AR growing up.

I think it may take Buxton a little longer than Sano, as his game has so many moving parts.   Sano's always been about 'see the ball, drive the ball', so I expected him to have a faster start.  Buxton's a high performance machine, in need of a tune up.

Agreed. Buxton is going to be fun to watch when he gets it going, though. The OF looks to be solid for years to come. I had high hopes for Arcia this year, but his wrist injury seems to have really set him back.

I think Arcia is a replacement level player, at best, long term.   He's just too much of a liability with the glove.
