I will be at the game today, cheering loudly for my Razorbacks.

It feels eerily similar to Danny Ford's last game.

Bielema is gone, Long is already watching from home, dusting off his resume. Today isn't about them.

Mostly, today is about saying "thanks" to a group of young men who gave it their all at UA. They played for fans, they played for UA, they played for family, and they played for each other. Today, I suspect, they'll play for Coach. I hope they play for themselves, also.

I hope they do as I do: take an extended long look around RRS about 5pm tonight. Smell the smells. Hear the sounds. Savor the memories. It will be their last on the field at UA. I remember the last time I escorted my grandfather out of RRS back to our car. He watches from the seats close enough to hear Paul Eels call the game.

Some things are bigger than wins and losses, if you are paying attention. I get it - if you are playing for the CFP you don't have that mindset. We aren't, so I do. Your mental approach to a game, or even a season, has to match the capacity else you'll be cruelly disappointed.

I will cheer loudly today for our seniors (probably give it one more hoot for CBB, as well). I hope you can cheer for the players as well.
I am a Hog fan. I was long before my name was etched, twice, on the sidewalks on the Hill. I will be long after Sam Pittman and Eric Mussleman are coaches, and Hunter Yuracheck is AD. I am a Hog fan when we win, when we lose and when we don't play. I love hearing the UA band play the National Anthem on game day, but I sing along to the Alma Mater.
