I've been of the opinion that there isn't much that Jeff Long could or should say right now, but this is bad.  There is absolutely nothing coming out from up there to provide any stability or direction whatsoever.  Bielema is obviously floundering.  The team looks worse every single game.  And Jeff Long is completely MIA.  Consequently, no one knows what to think at all.  There is permanent damage being done to the program right now.  Yes, a new coach who wins will fix a lot, but the hole will be deeper.

Even the dreaded vote of confidence would be something right now.

Just because there hasn't been a public lynching yet doesn't mean that the wheels aren't in motion behind the scenes.  I think that the lack of a statement of support by Long says it all.
