I'm sick of rebuilding..If Pelphrey thought Brandon Moore and Andre Clark was good enough to play for Arkansas by golly they need to be seeing the floor. Michael Sanchez and i've said it since his sophomore year of high school is not good enough to play at this level. Does he play hard yes..but he just isn't big/talented enough for this conference (and a down conference may I add).

I think we have good players, yet we're very undersized! I think Pel has an upside, but i'm very concerned with what we have coming in next year??

Ok..they'll be better next year as players, but their still going to be 6'1 and under (Fortson, Clarke, Welsh). I'll give Fortson a pass for obvious reasons (HE CAN PLAY), but I just hope we can bring a little more to the table than what we have this past recruiting year as far as height goes.

Also, I've been a season ticket holder in the past and I can watch and love the Razorbacks just as well at home. I will not shuck out money for continually rebuilding years. I hope something changes. I think Pel can yurn it around, but remember it's all about putting butts in those seats and last night didn't look to good..

I wish Brandon Mitchell would play 2 sports.  He can score.

Scholarship spacing.   We've been in the unfortunate situation where we had half of our scholarships come open this year due to poor recruiting in the past;  Pelphrey was in a good position to take some risks with this class-- if someone doesn't pan out, it serves to spread out our scholarship class over-concentration.  If they do, all the better.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I think alot of people agree with this statement, in an unbashing the player type of way of course.

I said this in another thread, but the differences in Michael Washington now compared to his freshman year are light years apart.

I used to argue with HA about how Pel ran the basketball team.  I've since learned to like and respect him.  In fact, I'd go as far to say that HA is well connected or extremely perceptive. - Porkatarian, 11/7/12

hard to pull in five or six quality players at once.  when you are in a position where you have only two or three scholarships per year to fill you can be a lot more selective in who you recruit.  we were left in a big hole by Heath's heavily loaded senior group.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

This is a problem that will take 2 years to fix, including this one.  Hate to say it, but next year is not going to be much better. If Washington leaves, it will be a pretty bad season.

That's an interesting point...

I hadn't considered that.

Yeah.  The talent level wasnt the concern when Heath left.  It was his spacing.   we had 6 open scholarships this year, and zero open after this season.   we really need the classes to equal out, so you take some chances on some projects, and if they dont pan out, you have an extra scholly for the next year

That being said, with Sanchez having a redshirt year, and Clark coming in last spring, I dont think Pelphrey expected it to take this long for those two to develop.   In his head, at least one would work out, and be useable.

The result is having to give a scholarship to Monk and relying on him to carry the team this year
