...then people wouldn't be screaming for Pel's head.

Those two victories raised expectations for the team beyond any reasonable measure, because a young team played their butts off in the two most emotional basketball games in recent memory.

Some of our fans need a reality check.

Sorry.  Before the season even started, the thought of us starting 1-7 in SEC play seemed just as unacceptable as it does now.

Ya you are exactly right those two games got everyones hopes up a little too high.... The right players just aren't there.  And will someone explain to me why we think pel isn't a great recruiter? I think fortson and henry have been solid this year and everyone loves clarke of course so given that it is his only full class so far I would say 3 guys contributing as freshman is pretty good.... Just gotta give him a few more to see if he can get more in to do the same

Just to clarify I'm not saying he is a great recruiter already but I just dont see how we could say the opposite either...

Nope.  Neither one.  I didn't think we'd be good enough to beat those 2 teams...but I thought we'd be good enough to beat the likes of Auburn and Miss. St. at home, especially with as weak as the SEC is this year.

Conference games always mean more than any out of conference game.  Ultimately, while I think we are underachieving this year (at least in conference play), the most concerning thing to me is that we aren't getting better as the year goes along and there doesn't seem to be any answers for our problematic areas anytime soon.
