Track and field is not a sport that gets a lot of attention but a shout-out to the  performances by freshmen sprinter Jaylen Bacon this weekend at Tennessee Relays on Friday.

The A-State freshman turned in a time of of 10.17 seconds in the 100m dash (he also won the 200m) to win the event. That puts him second to All-American  Ed Preston in the event at A-State.

Prior to this he had the 17th fastest time so far this outdoor season as recorded in the Track & Field Results Reporting System( TFRRS). This could move him into the top 5, maybe top 3.
