Sandra Bullock opens the door and in steps Ed Orgeron, sporting an Ole Miss pin on his lapel.

"Congratulations on getting hired," says Bullock, playing the Academy Award-winning role of Leigh Anne Tuohy in "The Blind Side."

"Thank you, ma'am," Orgeron replies with his now familiar Cajun burr. "Ole Miss is my dream job."

Coach O is a pretty fair actor (maybe it's the years at USC) and an even better sport. The movie, about the Tuohy family taking in and nurturing future Ole Miss and NFL left tackle Michael Oher, was filmed in early 2009, more than a year after Orgeron had been fired at Ole Miss.

It may have been a dream job for Orgeron at the time, but it turned out to be more of a nightmare. After rocky seasons of 3-8, 4-8 and 3-9, Orgeron was fired, only to return as a celluloid version of himself, a version that is practically a love letter to Ole Miss. At the end of the movie, Orgeron leads the Rebels through a recreation of the walk through The Grove to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, his trademark enthusiasm bubbling to the surface.

"I had more success in 'The Blind Side' than my coaching," Orgeron joked Monday.

LSU will have a chance to kick the Rebels and their 104th-ranked rush defense while its down when the two meet on Saturday (8 p.m., ESPN) in Baton Rouge.

No. 22 Ole Miss (3-3, 1-2 SEC) surrendered 180 rushing yards to Arkansas running back Rawleigh Williams III and 200 total to the Razorbacks last week.

"To us it was (a surprise) because we prepared," safety Zedrick Woods said. "We had a good week of practice, probably the best week of practice we had. Then to go out and (make) the simple mistakes we made — as a defense that really hurt us. ... Effort definitely wasn't the problem. It's just knowing what you have — taking that one snap as the most important of the game."

Earlier this week, Freeze said the team would find out a lot about itself when it played the Tigers. Defensive end Marquis Haynes, who leads Ole Miss with six tackles for loss, echoed similar thoughts.

"I think this week will determine if we're the real landshark defense or not," Haynes said.

Man - the LSU offense looks better than it has in years.
They are actually utilizing all that WR talent for a change.

It's why we all loved miles being there.  He didn't use his talent very well and because of that LSU was always a toss up for us no matter how bad our team was.

After last night, I am not looking forward to the LSU game.
It could be a rerun of last night if we don't do something about our run defense and Oline woes.
