The SEC has won 9 total CWS championships, all since 1990.                                     LSU has 6, SC 2 and Geo 1.                                                                                      Of the 66 CWS played so far, someone in the state of California has won 22.              USC has 12 but none since 1998.
Arkansas has 1 runner up in 1979.
Texas has 6 championships
Missouri won n 1954
Missouri has been runnerup 3 times but not as an SEC team.
The SEC has been runnerup 11 times.
The SEC has won 3 of the last 5 CWS
The first 3 CWS were not played in Omaha.  Anyone know where they were played
Yale was runnerup the first 2 years of the CWS
Cal-Fullerton beat us out in 1979 with a 2-1 victory
Current Pac 12 schools have won 28 of the 66 CWS played
The old SWC schools have won 7 titles, Texas 6 and Rice 1
Northern tier schools have won 6 times  with Minn 3, Ore ST 2 and Mich 1
Snowbelt schools of course have won just the 4 mentioned above.
Tulsa was runnerup in 1969
UCLA won its first championship last year, beating Miss St.

There slots more but who cares.

I had no idea on this. I had to look it up. Be interesting if somebody does know without looking it up.

I know it was in the midwest.

Was it in Wichita, KS?  OR Kansas City, KS?
Quote from: Michael BernalWhat's your favorite Arkansas tradition?
"I can't be cliché and say 'Call the Hogs,' but I think I have to.  That's just something that sets our university apart.  When you're out on the field and everyone in the stadium stands up, it's amazing.  Even when we're at a football or basketball game, just to see that many people around you doing the same thing for you when you're on the field or for the other guys who are playing, it's pretty awesome."

Wichita and I would not have known but stumbled on it myself.

My big surprise here was that the SEC didn't win any CWS until 1990 and that only 3 SEC schools have ever won it.
