Awesome job.
That was actually bait.  To those who think I was talking to them, well, if the shoe fits! Lol

One of the ironies, of course, is that the language is allowed & used on an entity with "elite" in the title.

Quote from: boogie07 on Yesterday at 07:34:05 pmWe all hope to eat words like that but if you were the coach would you honestly give her an at bat post season? Someone who is clearly struggling HARD or is ready to move on? And the fact on a 28 man roster there's NO ONE to pinch hit?

Do you think Coach D is stupid or had a severe brain fart?  Maybe she flipped a coin in deciding who to hit. She had her reasons and I'm not going to judge her. Maybe you're just a better coach than she. That would explain your criticism.

The House case will likely make most of this moot. House is an Arizona State swimmer, whose antitrust lawsuit is about to shatter any notion that colleges, the conferences, and the NCAA can limit college athlete compensation in any respect aside from agreement or intervention of Congress.

Attorneys for the players, the NCAA, and the Power 4, are neck deep in negotiations to drop over a billion dollars to athletes for the four years prior to 2021 when the NCAA enacted NIL allowances. If they don't settle for the estimated $1.4 million, then the damages at trial could be tripled. And the basic truth is that athletes are winning ALL of these lawsuits.

But here's the problem. They must resolve the FUTURE of athlete compensation or the first thing the plaintiffs lawyers will do is file a new lawsuit. Such a resolution will END these NIL cooperatives and state laws authorizing them and the shucking and jiving schools do that's different than the others. And the reason is the Power 4 schools and the NCAA are going to arrive at an amount, say $20 million annually per school, that compensates college athletes for their share of the embarrassing sums of money college sports generate.

Now as some have mentioned, $20 million is a bigger percentage of the Arkansas budget than it is that of Texas. But it's hard to cry when the checks keep coming, and oh, what about the other 50 or so non power conference teams in D-1 football for instance?

So NIL is going to disappear for athletes who take the money offered by the college. Amateurism is over. End of story. (Except there's also a pretty good chance that the players will have unions that negotiate the amounts and distribution directly with the NCAA and the Power 4 schools).

As for Title IX, it is almost a certainty that if Congress must act on the issue of athlete compensation, it won't be to say all sexes and sports must be paid equally. The principle will be equal PARTICIPATION, not equal amounts of money expended, and we all know why. A limited number of sports generate the cash. (Though that number is increasing). There might even be salary caps by sport.

Finally, unless you have a child or family member affected, or engage in thoughtful advocacy on behalf of others, you are a troglodyte if you have spent more than 15 minutes of your life in the last several years complaining or anguishing about transgender athletic participation. You are being manipulated by people who just like to make noise and smoke. And that includes some of the athletes you see on TV who can't compete anymore, so they are assuring themselves a future in political entertainment.

The excruciatingly TINY number of people involved in these issues, especially in Arkansas, makes anguishing over and passing laws over them a form of mental illness that you should discuss with your doctor. And if your local legislator demonstrates evidence of the problem, you should send him or her a card.

FINAL EDIT: While they are at it, they must assure that athletes have health insurance for life involving athletic injuries. I mean, why should employers or taxpayers provide insurance for somebody who got injured at work? There are some amateur athletes who play from 5th grade to 25, and they are a mess when they're done.

Haven't made it to Nutters this year.
Hole 2 is definitely the hardest hole, but all three of those par-5s that parallel each other are beastly.
I still don't know how they get that yardage.
It's just tough. It must be because even the shorter holes are harder. Like, the 7th hole, or the 11th. They're not long par 4s at all, but they're tough holes. 17 is another short par 4, but requires much accuracy. You also have a really short par3 at #3.

A little lengthy, but I couldn't decide what else to not include.

And he follows that with a 6 pitch inning, lol. **** me.

I can't get over Jordan taking a 3-1 fastball in the zone. Dude, you're projected first round... mlb don't want guys looking for a walk. Swing the f'n bat

I guess if we strike out at least we make him pitch 3 times lmao

We are tied, and with one Hugesack behind our back***

Does the cameraman have Parkinson's? Geez

Aye, but this ump is squeezing now.

Gotta give the pork butts credit. They make you pay for a mistake pitch.

That's a world class splitter. But our guys are putting the ball in play against him.

That guy was nasty, glad he took him out.

We do not have a freshman pitcher like that. Grant will be good, but we don't have a true freshman pitching mid upper 90's and with command like this Arkansas guy

Their freshman pitcher just made our two supposedly best hitters eat his *crap*

I think we get swept. Our ?hitters? can?t hit for *crap*

What an ***hat challenge.

Just when I said DVH was a smart coach, he goes all shriveled with that challenge.

Fu no swinging ***!

Put Jordan weak *** in the 9 hole. What a clown at bat

How do u take an inside FB on 3-2??? Holy *crap*

17 me. Ump gettin' paid by the home team.

Then the Hawaiian shows how you drive a run home. Jordan sux! Worst 3 hole batter in America!!!

I don't care for Lemon, but I don't think this one is coaching. Their pitching staff is just actually better than ours.

Dude! Damn! This ump wa giving our pitchers strikes that were balls and giving our batters balls that were strikes! Our batters ******* out and the Head Coach was kissing Gaut in the dugout while Hardin looked like a BP coach!

Attaway Amani! 17 the ump!!

If we cannot beat Arkansas tonight then there is not much chance the rest of the weekend. Their ace has his worst outing of the year, their best bullpen arm does not have it, and they have gifted us baserunners each and every inning. This was exactly how the game needed to go for us....except we have stranded 10

They burned a lot of pitching. Let's win the next two.

Thanks for dodging a hbp Kohler....then immediately K-ing

We had them on the ropes and *crap* the bed. Do not put any hope into this team going forward. They do not have it when they need it.

Name me an SEC team that brings bigtime players off the bench?

I liked our chances in the Ninth with bases loaded, but what do I know?

I will also say this, for the people that want Lemonis fired. It is going to be a very long off season for you. I would suggest Titos vodka. Mix it with water and mio and you cannot even taste the vodka. You will not remember where you are after 5 or 6, much less who the HC of the baseball team is.
He can't beat Arkansas. Never will. He sucks. Not a fireable offense but it would be nice if he gave more of a *crap*.

Every single team in America has pitching injuries

The problem with college sports is simple. It's a business that was built on an amateur sports foundation. Now that it's grown into a huge business the NCAA is caught with it's pants down trying to keep up the charade of amateur sports where millions of dollars get floated around.
