I wish they could change up the last 2 games every year. It's either finish up with 2 straight home games or 2 straight road games.

I have us beating Misery but the way Vandy is playing and could be a spoiler alert if they keep Shumer healthy

Away game at Colorado state?  That sounds beneath us.
Sometimes wrong, but never in doubt

I think it'll be Gene Chizik or Mike Bobo.

They have a beautiful stadium. This is what happens when Michigan cancels and you are desperate for an opponent.

I like the OOC schedule.  No P5, but that's not Long's fault.  Tulsa and North Texas share some history with us and generate regional interest.  EIU is a one of the better FCS programs.  CSU has a beautiful new stadium, and the aspens start to turn in early September.  Got to be nicer to rice here and hope I can hitch a ride on the King Air to the cj-sez kegger.

Cole Kelley starting QB. Almost all of the RB, TE, and WRs are returning. Entire OL expect Ragnow returning (big loss!). Defense will take a few hits, especially at safety, but should be good in year 2 under Rhoads.

I'll go with:

Sept. 1 – EASTERN ILLINOIS  WIN
Sept. 8 – at Colorado State  WIN
Sept. 15 – NORTH TEXAS  WIN
Sept. 22 – at Auburn  LOSS
Sept. 29 – vs. Texas A&M (Arlington, Texas)   WIN
Oct. 6 – ALABAMA   LOSS
Oct. 13 – OLE MISS   WIN
Oct. 20 – TULSA   WIN
Oct. 27 – VANDERBILT   WIN
Nov. 3 – Open Date
Nov. 10 – LSU   WIN
Nov. 17 – at Mississippi State  LOSS
Nov. 24 – at Missouri   WIN

9-3. I could see that being as low as 7-5, or as high as 10-2, depending on how good Cole Kelley is. I think his big arm downfield could open up the running game big time.

I do like playing Tulsa.  Descent regional opponent.  I'd like to see us start playing SMU now and then also.  Tulane would be a good one.

I thought E. Illinois was the replacement for Michigan.

Big yard...pitch a tent.

I lived in Denver for a few years. I went camping to do some fly fishing. Set my tent up close to the creek. I had never been that cold in my life, and haven't been since.

Their QB is a senior. Will take a step back next year. But they are a solid program.

Pattern seems to be win the road game in the home and home against a good opponent ten lose the return game. Did that with both TT and TCU.

Me and my buddies are planning a trip for the game. We've got a house in Evergreen so might stay there Friday night then head up to Ft. Collins early Saturday. Then plan on staying in Ft. Collins Saturday. Don't want to make that trip back south late.

How is that an enjoyment? He is right, if we lose to them this place will absolutely melt. And like I said, people dont realize how good that team is. They are not the Colo State of the last 5 decades.

I see great potential for a 10 win season next year. But it depends on progress this year. If we see buying in, this year, with our team playing with pride and hear, I see 10 wins next year.

If we see giving up, cashing it in, ineptness from the staff, no accountability, just letting things get progressively worse, it could be 7-5 next year. All depends on the character of this team, these players, this staff.

I cant get optimistic about next year until I see how this year plays out lol. I was optimistic for this year and the TCU game tied my nuts around my ankles.

I'd like to see us stop playing FCS teams.

Do you know of some other FBS teams that will not require a return home game?

I'm on the fence for this year so far. Saturday will determine which way I go in my attitude and hope for the teams immediate future. I was optimistic about this year too. Some of the problems we've seen on offense I expected, especially at receiver, losing what we did. But I had hoped KA would be as good an OL coach as bielema was saying he is and our run game would be dominant to make up for some of the inexperience at receiver.

Results aren't encouraging so far. But we will see how they do Saturday. Defense we saw some improvement from last year. Need more. And this team needs the attitude to play as hard as they can to the last snap. Play 4 quarters of football.

Yea, I'll make the drive up from Colorado Springs.  What are some reasonable places to stay that won't send me to the poor house.  I like brew pub fare so I know it won't be a problem....suggestions?   Any points of interest I should be aware of?
Thanks

I'm not from there but have been to Fort Collins.  Great, great town with 5 or 6 top notch breweries.  We toured 3 in one day.  Make sure you go to New Belgium (Fat Tire maker).  It is free but you will need to make a reservation FAR in advance.

If the goal isn't to win, only schedule road games at great locations. Play road games at Hawaii, Miami, San Diego State, Colorado and UNLV.

I dont know whether itll be funny or sad when Bielema loses to Tulsa at home.

Near CSU is the Cambria hotel..bit pricey. Candlewood is more economical. It has a crazy name, but the Gilded Goat Brewing Company is quite good. The Drunken Monkey in old town Ft Collins is a great bar. If you like BBQ, try Nordy's in Loveland..southeast of FC. If you like seafood, try Fish in old town on Oak Street. There is a rather good Cajun place as well...the Lost Cajun.

Wildhog

Well that's perhaps the easiest schedule of CBB's tenure.  Could be this year, though.

Did you see what Denver did to Dallas this weekend? They stacked the box and forced Dak to beat them with the pass. Well he couldn't because Denver has the best secondary in the NFL. TCU stacked the box and forced us to beat them with the pass, but we lost too much in our passing game to do it. It is an effective strat and I bet aTm tries to do the same thing. It causes fans to question a good running game which is silly.

jcul28

So say they get back from Auburn the day after the play(Sept. 23), they don't go back on the road until November 16 or 17? Wow!

FraggleHog

Did Arkansas just low key announce that they're not playing in LR next season, or is that announced at a later time?
