Yeah, I grew up hating Texass, but I hate LSU for baseball, Ole Piss/ Awbarn for football, and Kentucky for basketball.

I wonder if their fan, that his the cheer leader bellowing out LSU, will be there. make sure we drown that guy out.

I remember some LSU fan that took a shower from a suite above him on the first base side a few years ago, not really a "cool" thing to do, but he was obnoxious.

Unless someone sat down and explained it, no one Shaddy's age would have any idea why so many of us hate Texas.

I have attended a couple of recent LSU/Ark series in Baum (unfortunately, cannot attend this weekend's), and they have an obnoxious female fan that I call "leather lungs".  She looks for an empty seat in the area right behind the plate (we had to boot her one time), and her shtick is to flash K's on paper sheets every time an LSU pitcher strikes someone out.  Not very original - I know.  Plus, the bellows like a steamship horn.  I've seen her on TV several times since my encounter in Baum a few years ago.

Be on the lookout for her.  And if she's sitting next to you behind the plate, ask to see her ticket . . . odds are it's not for that seat.

Texas is a baseball blueblood.

Hasn't been in a long time.   LSU is hands down the better program.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Last time I remember Texas being consequential in baseball was DVH's first CWS team here in 2004. We played them the first game and lost while they were strutting around like they would just breeze through the rest of the field. Anyway, they wound up losing the final and then refused to come out for the awards presentation. Typical.

They won the CWS the next year

Not really much anymore.

They were in the CWS the year before Arkansas last was.

Since DVH has been here in 2003, Texas has won their conference or tournament 10 times (in nine different seasons), made CWS, and won the CWS.

This does not include the 2 CWS appearances and 1 CWS victory in 2 of the three years prior to DVH coming to Arkansas.

LSU is the better program right now but unfortunately tejas is still atop program. Check their records and apperances in the playoffs and the CWS. They've been there recently.
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

I was there with my brother in 2011 when McCann hit that walk off homer. Never forget it. We were sitting behind home with a couple in front of us (wife was a hog fan, husband was a tiger, their baby was in hog gear though ;)) the guy got up in the top of the 9th and said "lets go it's over". He had been running his mouth to us all game. Wish he would've stuck around to get what he had coming.

Not really, at least not on an LSU scope.

3 appearances in the last 12 years at the CWS;  3 conference titles in the last 15 years.

That's not that  different than us.

LSU has a national title,  4 CWS,  5 conference titles in the last 15, and a better overall record by about 30 full games.

Shaddy's dad played for the piggies in the late 70's so I'm sure Carson understands the Texas/Arkansas rivalry.
