Arkansas shift to the 3-4 defense is going to require some big bodies to play nose tackle. Recruits who fit that description are beginning to take notice.

Parkway North (St. Louis) 2018 defensive tackle Michael Thompson recently told Land of 10s Luke Srodulski the Razorbacks have his attention.

Theyve got big D-linemen up front,  Thompson said. That would probably fit me a lot. Im big.

Thompson checks in at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds. And his assumption is correct.

Thompson is a 4-star recruit and the No. 75 overall prospect in his class.

Alabama, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Oklahoma are also among his more than 20 offers.

Gavin Lewis is still awaiting an offer from one of the state's Big 2, but major programs from outside Alabama's borders are in pursuit of the Bob Jones 2018 defensive end.

The latest offer for the 6-foot-4, 265-pound Lewis came from Colorado over the weekend. The Buffaloes join a list of suitors that include Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Troy and South Alabama.

Lewis doesn't currently have a star rating from any of the big recruiting services, but he's playing for a coach - Kevin Rose -

A four-star defensive tackle out of Nashville Christian School became the fifth in-state recruit to commit to Butch Jones in 30 days.

I loved the atmosphere, he told 247 Sports. It was crazy that left a big impact as well. Ive had the feeling for a real long time, just waiting to make the decision at the right time Ive always felt that way about the school.

Lawless is the eighth-ranked recruit in the state of Tennessee, and No. 25 in the nation at his position of defensive tackle. He chose Jones and the Volunteers over SEC rivals Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, and also spurned an offer from Ohio State, whom he had recently visited.

With Lawless on board, Tennessee now has the No. 2 ranked recruiting class for 2018, behind only LSU.
