Thanks for sharing Matts insight.
I understand now its a hard decision for him.
Its true that he wont go to the next level if he "cant" pass block.
I was a tackle and I know a little bit about the difference .
If he knows he cant , then he can have some fun at Ole Miss blocking the run, but hes not going anywhere else. The scouts and NFL teams will notice his foot work where ever he goes so hes dead in the water anyway if he cant . He cant hide it .

He can come here and try. If he doesnt play on Sunday , he will know he gave it a shot .

You do know that Nutt's telling Matt one thing and telling all the QB's and Wr's that he is recruiting that he wants to go to a spread offense. Maybe that something Matt needs to think about.

if he rolled through central arkansas i would see to it that he got some sort of ticket lol.

Nutt has been selling recruits that garbage for a long time now. (*Mitch, Damian)
It will work for them some of the time, but most of us know them for what they are, Snake oil salesmen with a one dimensional offense.

Like I said earlier, this regime has been with Matt for years. He's been attending Razorback games since he was a youngster and the Hall family truely likes them. The Halls are not naive or ignorant. Linda is a really upbeat person that just wants to give Big Matt his best possibility of success.

The Halls are good people, and I wish Matt the best wherever he goes. I myself think he'll be a Razorback...... but it's a toss up right now.

as far as Im concerned...if you play for Ole Miss, you are worthless to me, regardless of where you came from.    So Hoepfully Hall makes the right decision  :razorback:
Honor and Integrity no longer exist in the world of college football.  It is only filled with liar's cheater's, and traitors.

The whole point with this is PT. That's what these coaches can give them and that's really what all these kids want. A chance to shine on the big stage.
I hope Matt is a hog, but he's not even sure he can contribute here.
Matt knows he can for Nutt.

All he's gotta do is look at the top rated players at his position; almost ALL of them redshirt, at least in the big-time programs. If its about PT, from this point on at Arkansas, the best players will play.

The school in Oxford that allows the coach buttkissers to start over the ones with more skill is NOT a bigtime program; wherever he goes, it would greatly benefit him to get stronger and learn technique his first year...thats how "big stage" linemen do things, and thats how things WILL BE in the future at Arkansas.

All of us here at hogville would love to seem him showcase his skills on 3rd and 12 against A&M picking up an all-out blitz on Ryan Mallett's blind side in a $1 billion stadium in 2009. Sounds like the big stage to me.
Very few, if any of us, would like to see him blocking for a draw play on 3rd and 17 for Ole Miss against the Hogs in 2008, down 28-3.
Hope he makes the best choice for his future.

I also hope he makes that choice.

Well, then, by all means he should go to Ole Miss where he will run block to the cows come home and never have to pass block.  That way, when he is done at Ole Miss, he can get a job as a bouncer in a casino in Tunica and regail the Ole Miss fans with stories of how big of a bad ass he was in Oxford.

Afterall, all that is much better than coming to Arkansas where he will learn to both run and pass block and if pass blocking is a weakness, learn to compensate for his weakness and possibly, overcome it.  Who would want to do that?  I mean it isn't like he wants to play in the NFL or anything where they make offensive linemen do things like that silly old pass blocking.

If TCTWF is telling Matt that he needs to go to ole miss to run block, then what about his plans to run the spread? I wish the recruits would put everything that TCTWF has said and realize he is saying whatever to each of them to get them to sign. Once they do then he will RUN,RUN, RUN.

Is Matt Hall's mom ok?  I mean everytime there is a story about a recruiting visit from anybody she is quoted as saying how great it was.

( Matt Hall was visited by Satan, head coach of Hell U, and his mother was quoted as saying what a great visit it was.)  Mom, seriously, it's ok if the recruiting was just ok.  The schools aren't going to pull his offer, promise.
Yeah, I hear they have great facilities, including a steam room, and the chicks on campus are smoking hot.
