Anyone watching this offensive explosion.  Its in the first quarter and already over 400 yards of total offense.  Where's the D?  If you like offense, turn to ESPN 2 and catch a little of this game before the real game tonight.

Dwight_K_Shrute

28-21 Louisville with less than a minute to go in first Qtr, yes First Quarter!!!

I heard Louisville was holding back though.  Didn't want to show too much.  Kragthorpe is pissed that the aren't getting to practice FG's.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

Most coaches hold back in order to work their kicker and punter.  This guy is obviously nuts. :)

If this is holding back, can't wait to see the flood gates open up.  Jeezz

For Pete's sake!   Would someone please quick-kick?  Mix it up a little!   I'd fire these OC's.  Both of them.

Losers!

Dwight_K_Shrute

31-28 Louisville.  Their D blows,  Mid Tenn State is ripping off huge runs.  If LV defense is like this all year they will be an 8-4 team and Brohm will not win the Heisman.  We need MTSU to win this one.

Jeez why do these things have to be in General Sports on a Thursday night with a Hog bye week.

It will get more reads and posts in MMQB.  Plus we can compare and contrast these to teams with the Hogs.

The new trend in college fb is to spread the field and outscore your opponent.

I like some old facts of the game such as defense and clock control.

This looks more like basketball, up and down the court.
Life is short.  Act accordingly.

I'm with ya bro.  LSU's defensive backfield would make these WR's cry like little girls.

How long ago did we play Midd Tenn?

MTS OC is calling some sweet ass plays. That fake counter/tunnel screen at the 10 was awesome

The D of both these teams needs to be shot.

Middle Tennesse's QB looks better then Dick at reading d.

Every week we will be treated to watching teams with QB play better than ours, and I'm not talking about Louisville.  I'm talking about the MTSU's and Appy State's of the world.

This isn't a knock against Casey it's a knock against a lame a$$ group of coaches that after 9 years on the job can not recruit QB's to the UofA while Mid Majors and D-1AA schools can.

I think here real soon Louisville will be wishing they were still in the C-USA.

God I love college football, this might be one WACKY year.  This is one fun game to watch.

Do you figure Louisville will drop out of the Top 25 if they lose this game tonight?

Their run is not sustainable. They will not be a year in, year out team five years of average, two years good cycle, Think TCU, Think Okie St.

Hasn't TCU won 10 games (out of just 12 or so, not 14) 4 of the last 5 years or something like that?

Kragthorpe could have been ours.  Let's not pass on Patterson.

761 yards of total offense in the 1st half.

Wow.  I really wish I could actually watch the game,
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

On a year in and year out basis if Louisville were in the SEC it be somewhere in between State and Ole Miss. Good Hoops, bad football.

Sure, they are in the Mountain West. What has that got them outside of conference play. Louisville would do the same in the C-USA, thats why I say they'll regret the move. They'd have better records.

About 3 hours a night, and I had a nap this afternoon just so I could catch a couple of games.   One of the nicer things about being self-employed is setting your own schedule-- though my wife *loathes* football season :)

Yep. No one argues that, I don't think.

Lou's Pep Talk.  Anyone notice this half-time segment.  They have Lou's shirt unbuttoned and tie down.  The look is too stupid,  it's too purposeful.  They could have had the shirt unbuttoned but should have had the tie up a bit more.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

What good does it do Texas? We know what Usc gained a pipeline

When JFB signed with USC They were a name that had been down for some time, it was signed years in advance, you never know what happens, say USC loses Pete, there's no guarantee that his success will carry, look at UCLA, same great talent pool, same storied home field yet where's all the recent bling.

As for Pete raiding Ark, I've yet to see any of that pay a cent in dividends yet, I'll withhold judgement till then. I'm still waiting for Tenn getting those Warren boys and Shelly to bite us. I'll be waiting for a while I suspect. Truth is, I suppose about 50% of your hyped players turn out to be anything, Bledsoe comes to mind. Manning never got Tenn one NC, but a Storner did.
