I'll just be blunt with this one.  I don't see anyway that Arkansas wins this game.  With that being said, this team is so unpredictable that nothing would really surprise me.  We're basically playing with nothing to lose, so maybe something strange will happen (i.e. a road win).  GO HOGS!  BEAT VANDY! :razorback: WPS! :razorback:

Final Score Prediction:
    Arkansas: 68
    Vanderbilt: 74

polandhog

everyone (even me) expects us to lose, but i see it like last year's TN game.. them undefeated at home, we go in and break the streak

Arkansas  73
Vanderbilt 69

with that said, we do NOT make the NCAAT!

Dwight_K_Shrute

I don't predict flat out Arkansas losses even when my head is over-ruling my heart.

I will predict bald coach with some hair going to the NCAA's, bald coach with no hair not so much.

After the Mississippi State game on Wednesday.. Patrick Beverley said that we would make the tournament and Stan Heath wont be going anywhere. So i'm going to listen to Patrick.

I don't expect us to lose another game versus an SEC opponent.

coach, my back hurts

I find myself in a very strange perdicament(sp).

Team wins= i am happy, Heath returns= not so happy

Team losses= i am sad, Heath is gone= i am happy

I guess it is always better to be happier in the end right?

Road game - automatic loss.  Heath finishes with a 6-34 SEC road record (15% win rate).

11/19/2023:  Keeping my original semi-prophetic, apocalyptic signature below.  We continue to regret passing on Norvell, who is in the running for the Playoffs.  We continue regret passing on Kiffin, who is eyeing a New Years 6 game.  Heck, we regret passing on Drinkwitz (he may be a dork, but he will have his team in a New Years 6 game after they truck us on Black Friday).

Meanwhile, Sam is drinking Pittman, wondering if he has the leverage to re-hire Enos, Sexton is doing the triple Lindy into his Olympic-size pool full of cash, and thousands of hog fans are planning to dress up as empty seats for next year's Halloween game.

11/25/2018:  My original "Chad Morris" signature is below.  I'm modifying my view as follows:  We will continue to regret passing on Norvell and Kiffin.   After 3 years, when Morris is 10-26, we are going to be saying "What were we thinking?  Even Bert was better than this!"

I will be there. I bought season tix at Vandy just to go to this game. (Season tix are less than one game at home!) Anyway, I have said it all week. We are going to kill Vandy. With that being said, we will lose in the first round of the tourney and go home.

Vandy is a tough place to win given the strange way their arena is designed. Even good Hog teams have lost there in the past. Vandy by 10.

Please, don't do it to yourselves. I've begged and begged.  VU80 Hogs58 I hate it but our inside scoring is in the tank,Weems is a different player on the road, Beverly will get his. I just can't see us scoring that much in that weird gym. While walking to the football game last year the gym was open and we walked all the way onto the floor area , benches in dugouts at each end of the court is so weird. 3 of our key players haven't ever walked into that place.

If ARK would leave Townes, Thomas, and McCurdy on campus they will finally have team unity and go and play Vandy off their feet.

Now unfortunately those guys will make the trip, meaning that we will see selfish play, bad defense, and getting killed on the glass. That will again piss off Steven Hill and he may have to be restrain from going afther those guys.He has already shoved Vincent Hunter for getting in his way.

Vandy wins 70 to 65.  Vandy always gets the calls in Nashville, therefore, I never expect us to win there.  I remember a game in Nashville in the early 90's (1st SEC Game in Nashville I believe) where Vandy won, but if you removed all free throws (on both sides) from the game -- we would have easily won.

I keep hearing that this team is "unpredictable."  No they aren't.  The coach is 6-33 on the road in sec games and 1-8 on the road overall this year.  That sounds fairly predictable to me....

He's carrying a soldering iron!" and started laughing, and everybody else started laughing, I could just say, "That's right, it's a soldering iron. The soldering iron of justice." Then everybody would get real quiet and ashamed, because they had made fun of the soldering iron of justice, and I could probably hit them up for a free drink."

If memory serves me correct, Vandy shot 43 free throws in that game to our 12 or 13.  The game lasted in the neighborhood of 2 hours and 45 minutes.  Intervention was required of the people close to me in the aftermath of that game.

I miss the days of Pat Bradley v. Ronnie McMahan/Dan Langhi.  Those guys could fill it up.  The Vandy/Arkansas games were fun to watch back in the day.

Oh, well.  I hope it is today also.

It's a road game, and this Hog team has lost all intensity on the glass, and is largely without interior scoring.

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Dwight_K_Shrute

the _________ vs. Arkansas were fun to watch back in the day.  Even when we lost it was still entertaining and always felt like we had a chance to win.  We could kill any team with a 5 minute burst.

Does it really matter that much?  We'll have to win all the games in the SECT anyway to get into the NCAAT.  If all we needed was a deep run, then I'd agree with you, but we have to win it all.

By the way, if we win today we will be a three seed.  Bama, Auburn, OM, and MSU are all at 7-8.  However, Bama plays at MSU and Auburn at OM.  Knowing how SECW teams play on the road, it should shape up with the two Mississippi schools at 8-8 and Auburn and Bama at 7-9.  If we win at Vandy we would beat a tie breaker with both teams because we beat Bama twice and have a better west record than Auburn, making us a three seed to play SC in Atlanta.
