I don't want you to agree with me because you're weak. I want you to agree with me because you know I'm right.

...just mentioned during the Meinike Car Care Bowl.

This qualifies as a WTH moment.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Just announced during the game.

Without my Frito Pie I am useless. I must prepare my Frito Pie correctly. I must eat my Frito Pie faster than my neighbor, who is trying to steal my Frito Pie. I must neutralize him before he takes my Frito Pie from me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my Frito Pie and myself are defenders of all things D.S.T., we are the masters of Hogville and D.S.T.'s enemies, we are the saviors of all life. So be it, until all love Frito Pie and Hogville, then peace. Amen."

I'm satisfied that we're potentially one win away from the BCS title game while Nutt's opponents have to take a knee in the red zone to keep from running up the score. That tells us all we need to know

Health and family cited.

Let's hope it's not a Tiger situation, where he's hoping to avoid his wife putting him in the hospital for screwing around on the side.

Maybe he just can't bear to coach any more without St. Tebow

Timing might indicate he got some really serious medical news.

I hope he is OK. God bless him and his family.

Prayers for the Meyer family to recover from whatever health issues are at hand.

I sure hope they stay away for Petrino.  I guess if he goes, we can hire Gus.

I can't imagine leaving now unless it's something very serious.

To those who got merged, sorry. It was taking up half the front page. This is really weird timing. Must be health issues or family (read wife) issues. God bless him and his family.
Sittin in the morning sun, I'll be sittin here when evening comes.

What if he's only saying it's health issues?   I bet he turns up somewhere else in 2011.   Done all he can at Florida.  It would only be downhill from here.

I feel bad for Charlie Strong, once again, he gets the shaft.

Houston Nutt has announced that despite Florida's advances, he is not interested in the position and is very happy at Ole Miss.

I can only imagine the stress related with a job like that.  Must have caught up with him.
His reputation is expanding faster than the universe.  He once had an awkward moment, just to see how it feels.  He lives vicariously through himself.  He is...Bobby Petrino.

I think they will look at the Boise State headcoach

Friend says its no immediate health concern?

Lots of horrible things aren't an "immediate" health concern

This has to be a serious health problem, it makes no sense otherwise.

Now there is an impressive coach.  Seriously.  Character guy as well.

Jagdragon

I respect Coach Meyers...did a great job at Utah and of course at Florida.

..Coach Patrino, don't even think about it!

Foley's arguably the best AD in the business.  He'd be a fool not to go after Bobby.  This could be the most interdesting week for an Arkansas coach since the night Woody punched one of Ford's Clempsun Tigers.

get their recruits on the phone.  mcghee, do your thing.

PoormansRobbyHampton

Jimmy Sexton is on the phone with their AD Foley as we speak no doubt.

It will be interesting to see who they go after.  I would think either Mullen or Strong would get a good look if they were still on staff.  I could see them making a run at Mullen even though he has only been at MSU for a year.  It would also be an understandable move for him where he would not catch too much flack.  Noone would fault the jump from Starkville to Gainesville.  There is no need to change direction in terms of philosophy at Florida since it appears to be working well.  If they go with a brand new coach it may be a step or two back before moving forward.

I bet Strong is doing his best Florida Evans right now.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

Well the time has arrived. Sooner than most thought. Time to test BPs loyalty.

I'd be shocked if BP wasn't in their top 3-4.

Yeah, begging him not to publically laugh at any rumors floated out of Oxford.

Don't know if it's accurate but I'm hearing that he's had a cyst on his brain for a while that has given him trouble with migraines, etc.

Sounds like it could just be that he needs to spend time with his family and not work 20 hrs a day? If so, kudos to him for putting priorities in order...at least he can afford to. If it's health, then best to him and his family.

I will bet $100 that BP is not contacted about this job.
