who knows but he was 60-1 in the CC Futurity and got beat pretty bad, who knows?

Exactly.  If I just watched that race I would think "wow, what a horse."  But if I look back at his past performances I balk a little.  Will be interested to see how this one pans out.

i dont' care for horses who come out of fair grounds until they prove they can win elsewehre.

Lots of folks think just bc a horse runs good at FG they will run good at CD bc they both have very long stretches.  This could not be more misleading bc the racing surfaces are VERY different and there can not be much to the comparison of FG and CD.

I do know that when jockeys fly into FG they are at a clear disadvantage if they are not familiar with that track.  There is more of a home field advantage to the regular FG jockeys than any other track in the country.  I actually sat down and had a conversation with Sam David about this and he swore by this when handicapping big races at FG where you have shippers coming in.

Just something to keep in the back of your brains.
