Due to medication violations. Won't affect his ability to train, but he can't register any foals in 2013 -- the only leverage the Jockey Club has.

Does either have a breeding program??  I cant recall seeing either in the racing form have been the breeder of the entry.

I might be wrong about this, but I think you register a foal when you're ready to name it, which happens during a horse's 2-year-old season for a lot of horses. Therefore, if he were to buy an unregistered weanling, yearling or 2-year-old, either at auction or privately, he wouldn't be able to register it, at least not in 2013.

Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken about this.
