One of ESPN's most popular commercials shows how "Roll Tide" is said by characters in different situations--at a wedding, funeral and everywhere in between. The end of the commercial says, "It's not crazy. It's sports."

During the 2013 national title game between Alabama and Notre Dame, broadcaster Brent Musburger spent time commenting on quarterback AJ McCarron's girlfriend. Katherine Webb, an Auburn graduate and also a Miss Alabama USA pageant winner, watched the game from the stands with McCarron's mother. ABC cut to them many times, while Musburger said things like "You quarterbacks get all the good-looking women" and "If you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with Pop."

ESPN's docudrama series, "30 for 30" tackled the Alabama vs. Auburn football rivalry with a program in 2011 directed by filmmaker Martin Khodabakhshian. With interviews from such figures as Nick Saban, Greg McElroy, Charles Barkley, Bo Jackson and Harvey Updyke.
