Why pinch hit Hedgecock? She's been the worst hitter on the team. Just don't understand that move at all.

Coming back to HSY, the stock is sitting around $204.75 or so at the moment which is the second highest intraday price since February($209.68) and also above the $202.31 resistance closing price. Shaping up to be at least the 8th attempt to close above $202.31 and hopefully establish a new support level. Been an interesting one to keep up with and if it can hold above the $202 level, will be interesting to see if momentum can give it another 10% upside or so.

Quote from: cobbs34 on Today at 10:56:07 amour number 1 issue is hitting behind in the count 2/3 of the time. Diggs is the worlds worst at watching one right down the pipe on first pitch. I know they want to get to the bullpen by making them throw a lot of pitches but another way to the pen is to knock the starter out of the game.

Definitely on the right track. I remember watching one of the baseball guys on ESPN talk about stress pitches being so much different than pitches when you're ahead in count as the pitcher. The mental strain of constantly facing hitters that don't let you get ahead easily and stay there. It extends a pitchers depth when he can mentally relax a bit on a 1-0 pitch knowing the hitter will likely wait for a strike. Or flipping a breaker up there at 2-0 or 3-0.

Now there are studs like Hagen that will just stay ahead of you or has the stuff to cancel out any strategy, but there are very few like that. I would love to see a lineup that goes out there with a good knowledge of the zone and they have the ability to not swing and miss and attack those pitches that are meant to just get ahead. Stress him off the mound.

Quote from: TebowHater on Today at 11:37:02 amGuess he's hanging it up after this year. Been doing it for 40 years. Whether you liked his antics or not, Will be the end of an era. I think he was definitely a net positive. Good read for regular hog baseball fans, sorry it's know KNWA but KNWA has no competing story on it so really should be ok

Thanks Clay. He will be missed.

At this rate the ultra-rich programs are going to run out of teams to play.
