Was looking at a few post on TCU site and saw this. Apparently they are upset b/c they lost the belt. I had never heard of this.

Outstanding!  It's kind of a silly concept but neat that we won it.  I followed the NFL belt for awhile.  Guess it makes sense there would be a college one.

I don't know how widespread this website is, but I just learned about it today. It is a title belt that is held by any team that beats the current title belt holder, starting with Nebraska's national championship and 32 game winning streak in 1971. Over the years it has been passed around the country involving marquee games among top ranked teams, along with major upsets. With Arkansas' win over TCU this past weekend, the Razorbacks have claimed the belt for just the second time in 46 years (2007 LSU). This week could also be our first time to successfully defend the belt vs Texas State.

It's a pretty cool idea, almost like a weekly national championship that anyone can win as long as you can knock off the current champ. So let's hurry up and print the T-shirts and enjoy our title run as long as we can!

Big 12 poster expressed concern that Alabama would lock it down later this year. It has bounced around in the Big 12 a lot recently.
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

Yeah someone posted about it here a few days ago. Pretty cool.

PorkSoda

pretty cool, hope we hold onto it all year.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Obviously it's not "real," but it appears as though we "won" it from TCU last week and will be defending it against A&M tonight.

How 'bama hasn't held it down for a while says something

Really important sidenote. A&M now owns the College Football Belt. http://collegefootballbelt.com/
