No change from last week, still hosting, paired with TCU, with Mo State as the 2, Texas the 3, and ORU as the 4.

Actually we're matched with TCU, the pairing are the teams listed below, not beside. It's a pretty confusing set up on that site.

I'm sorry, what does the "matched with" mean?

Who we would face in a Super Regional, should we both win.

That would be a little loaded with MO ST & TEX being 22 and 23 in RPI.

While Texas would be a really good 3 seed, MO State as a 2 doesn't worry me that much. Their RPI is at 22 because they played 27 road games this year, not because they've beaten good teams. They are only 2-2 against the RPI top 50, 0-1 against the top 25, and they play in the 17th ranked RPI conference. Their best series wins, RPI wise, are against Minnesota (82), Dallas Baptist (70), and UCA (132).

Based on TCU having their #7 seed, that means they consider us the #10 seed, as #1 is paired with #16, #2 with #15, and so on.

Meanwhile, the College Madness projection has us paired with #2 Louisville, so they consider us the #15 seed.

All that said, there is always some "bracket massaging" to keep teams from the same conference meeting too early, so we might be up or down a slot because of that.

While the regional looks interesting, I'm not sure I like the pairing with LBSU ... we're a home run based offense, and the ball doesn't carry well at all on the west coast. If there's an upside, it's that any one of the 4 teams in the LBSU regional could win that bracket.

I think it is much more likely we get paired with Louisville, TTech, or TCU.

That isn't how it is selected. The committee has said as much. They do not seed teams 1-16. They seed 8 national seeds, and then the rest they try to pair based on geography. If your comment is correct, then they have UK behind us in the pecking order because they are paired with a higher national seed. We can both agree that they do not have UK behind us.

We're not paired with LBSU in this projection. Paired with TCU.
