Martin has definitely been good but I thought we came out over-agressive against a pitcher that walks some batters. Arledge came out swinging to start the game which is a bit unusual, then we had the 5 pitch inning which isn't normal for us either. Thought we should've been more patient against a team with a taxed bullpen.

The big picture is we knew we didn't match up well against their ace so we battled with taco who had 1 bad inning. The big picture is now we battle with our ace for the series against their #3. Unlike those odds. It may not work out, but it's a good move.

Maybe I am wrong, but I do not get the panic on Knight not starting tonight. The official Razorback twitter isn't all knowing, but they specifically said Knight will start tomorrow. I do not get why people are acting as if it is truth that Knight is hurt and will not go tomorrow. If Knight is starting tomorrow, then I love our chances. We have our ace going in the biggest game of the season.

That is all fine and dandy but a off speed pitcher is our kryptonite. We just do not adjust as well to pitchers that throw soft or movement as we do against guys that throw hard. That could be our downfall in the end. We have had all season to adjust and work on it and we haven't done it many times. Going for seeding in a tournament that DVH doesn't give a damn about is all fine and dandy but to truly have no worries about hosting we should have been pushing harder for a win tonight AND tomorrow. Our approach was not good at all by the top half of our lineup. I was most impressed by Cole because he went oppo on a double. Spanberger hit a ball to the left side as well but if he gets a better angle on that ball he hits it out of the stadium. The big picture to me is that there is still work to be done on our approach at the plate in games where we aren't going to beat the ball out of the yard.

we had to win one of these two  to get the fourth seed and to host,,, makes sense to pitch knight tomorrow and match  him against a lesser pitcher... two wins puts us in the same position as does one, so we are putting everything into  getting the one.
