well in defense of Walker, Ole Miss led the SEC in stolen bases this year...going into this game

80 steals in 98 attempts..

If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there are men on base.  ~Dave Barry

"I'd rather lose a game like that than a 5-4 ballgame when somebody walks in the winning run or makes an error" -MSU's former head coach Ron Polk after South Carolina pummeled the Bulldogs 20-3 on 3/23/2007.

Feb. 20, 2009-a new era in MSU Baseball begins.

We're extremely fortunate to only be down 2-0. Lead-off walks almost always come back to burn pitchers.

How true.  Being down 2-0 in the first is no biggie.  Just need to stop the bleeding.

I was actually in Hoover in 2003 for the SEC tourney.  A group of us went to some local Hoover Bar because the 1st day of SEC play got rained out.  So we're at this bar expecting to watch some MLB or some other sporting event.  Instead they had American Idol on b/c that fat black guy Ruben was on the finals of American Ido.  Ruben was from Birmingham so the locals went nuts when he won.  I'm sure the same reaction happened for Taylor tonight.

Sorry, I've spent probably 200 posts today updating people on SEC baseball action.  I was just noting Taylor won because he is a Hoover native.  The only reason he won is because American Idol and the SEC tourney are linked together in some weird sick way since every American Idol finalist seems to be from Hoover

Slacker

Dugger dug one out to end the side. Looks like the Hogs have got the sleep out of their Eyes...

Charge!!!!!!!!!!

Call Mr. Sow

While I haven't missed more than 2 episodes of Idol in the last couple of years (insert obligatory apologetic comment about it being a family activity every week in our house), I couldn't care less who actually won today.  That said, what with Tivo being so prevalent these days, I think announcing the winner in the middle of a totally unrelated thread has the potential to piss some people off.  We were 30 minutes from the announcement of the winner in my house when I saw that posted.

Knowing the city of Hoover I'm shocked they haven't announced it over the PA at Hoover Met
