AR/Wisconsin-Milwaukee Game 2 Thread

Hello everyone...I will be doing play-by-play for the second today game today...

Just returned from Baum Stadium and boy was game 1 fun.  The Hogs beat the Panthers of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 8-3 in front of 3,700 fans.  Nick Schmidt pitched well but did not get the win, which went to junior righty Travis Hill.  The big hero in game 1 was Casey Coon who hit 2 doubles and had 5 RBI's...he was 4-4 and is hitting .500 on the young season.  The first game of the doubleheader was also the first game of the season for UWM who is now 0-1 on the season...

The starting pitchers for today's second matchup are Duke Welker for the Hogs and Dan Luczak for the Panthers.  Both of those guys are fast workers so I may struggle a little with the updates.  Duke Welker has been an important part of the early season success for the Hogs.  He is a hard throwing right-handed JUCO transfer.  Before the season he was rated as the 5th best transfer player in the country by Baseball America.
