A Canadian couple vacationing in Florida took photographs of Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason's arrest during a traffic stop on Saturday and shared them with WPLG-TV in Miami. (slideshow available via link)

According to the Hollywood (Fla.) Police Department report, officers used a Taser twice on Mason – when he refused to get out of the car when placed under arrest and outside the car when he refused to put his hands behind his back.

After being stunned twice, Mason was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood for medical clearance. Mason's bond was posted while he was at the hospital, so he never went to jail.

In his report, Hollywood police officer Lester Cochenour wrote he observed a 2011 Porsche traveling at what he estimated to be more than 75 mph in a 35-mph zone. When he attempted to pull over the car, Cochenour wrote the Porsche did not stop until it was blocked in by a stopped SUV.

According to the police report, Mason refused to give his name or birth date, instead holding up a phone as though recording the incident.

"I warned the defendant if he did not identify himself he would be subject to arrest, and he smirked as he was making eye contact,'' Cochenour wrote in his report.

After calling for backup, Cochenour told Mason he was under arrest. When an officer reached into the vehicle and took Mason by his left arm, "the defendant immediately tensed his arms and straightened his body and used the floor, steering wheel and seat to brace himself in the vehicle," according to the police report.

The report said Mason was warned if he did not cooperate, a Taser would be used.

If this report is correct....sounds like just another spoiled pro athlete, that believe that law's don't apply to them.  He didn't even have to go to jail to post bond, somehow got that taken care of at the hospital. Pathetic.

From initially being pulled over for driving too fast, Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason wound up being tased twice by Hollywood (Fla.) Police officers. How could an incident that resulted in charges of two misdemeanors and two traffic offenses escalate into that for the former Auburn football star?

Hollywood Police Sgt. Lester Cochenour details what happened on Saturday from law enforcement's standpoint in his five-page report on the incident.

Mason was charged with resisting an officer/obstruction without violence, reckless driving, failure to register a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana in an amount less than 20 grams.

After being stunned twice with a Taser – once when he would not get out of his car and again when he wouldn't put his hands behind his back to be cuffed, according to the police report --

Taken to a local medical facility. Sgt. reported that Mason showed "unusual resistance" in reaction to the taser.

"I've not been able to talk to him lately," Malzahn said. "I'll tell you this, our staff is praying for him. Tre is a fine young man going through a tough time. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, and we're hoping for the best for him."

According to a Thirty Mile Zone report, police units were called to Mason's home in Palm Beach County, Florida, in the latest of several instances this year. Police reports from the latest incident include that Mason told officers that "he was going to call the White House" and they "were all going to lose their jobs," and that "police were responsible for telling Al-Qaeda how to fly planes."

The Los Angeles Rams, who moved from St. Louis this offseason, listed the former Heisman Trophy finalist on their reserve/did not report list.

"Right now, we're more concerned with Tre Mason's well-being than we are his football career," Rams coach Jeff Fisher told reporters at training camp. "We're going to continue to try to reach him to see where he's at."

Tre Mason found at mother's home practicing drills

Former Auburn star and Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason has been located, according to a report from WPBF in Florida. Mason was seen exiting his Maserati and entering his mother's home in Lake Worth, Fla.

After being a a no show at the start of training camp last week, Rams head coach  Jeff Fisher told reporters he had not talked to Mason since the season ended.

    The mystery of missing running back Tre Mason has been resolved – Mason is at his mother's Lake Worth home, and has been seen practicing drills in his front yard.

    WPBF 25 News attempted to talk to Mason as he pulled up in his Maserati, but he yelled "Don't be hurting," and walked inside.

    When WPBF 25 News asked Mason if he was going to training camp, he yelled, "No."

One officer tried to approach Mason to talk -- but the RB drove right past him at a high rate of speed ... so cops gave chase. They eventually followed Mason back to his home [low speed chase?], where he locked himself inside.

Cops spoke with a family member who convinced Tre to come outside -- where he was cited for operating an ATV on public roads and fleeing cops. Cops later towed the vehicle from the scene because it was not registered to anyone.

It's just the latest in a string of troubling police incidents involving Mason -- the 6th time cops have been called for an incident involving the 23-year-old in less than 5 months.

When do you think Tre Mason became an entitled individual with critical lapses in judgment?  As a four-star, top 200 player from Palm Beach County?  Run at Auburn?  After he got his first NFL check?  Growing up in Amityville with De La Soul?

When they got to his home, cops told his family they were concerned Mason was too busy "f***ing around" and "should be playing football."

That's when Tre's mother dropped some real talk on the cops.

"No, he actually shouldn't," she said ..."because this is the [side of] football that nobody knows about."

"He's 22 in a 10-year-old's mindset right now ... Tre's not himself at all."

Tre's mother says the family could see an obvious change in Tre's personality after the 2015 NFL season ended.

This guy belongs in either a hospital getting help, or jail...whatever fits.  It's obvious that he has no respect for vehicle laws or the police.  He's going to seriously injure himself or someone else, if this is not addressed soon.
