Seems to be overseeing a process by which she is eventually replaced. Sure hope that at the end of that process she remains with us. Valuable experience, and talent here. Bet other universities will be looking to see how well she fares.

If she is truly qualified (and I don't really doubt it) just keep her.

Let her handle the current-coming mess and if she sails through it gracefully she should be good to go.

Native means from the area. Some one from AR can't attend a university outside of AR?
